Hematocrit and TRT. How to have balance.

I’ve done just about every injection frequency possible. For me, high TT/FT = high HCT. Regardless of whether I’m injecting daily, EOD, MWF, E3.5D, weekly. In my case, it really is that simple. Run high levels, expect side effects.

Acne on TRT - A low dose Accutane?

Looks like OP has already made his decision, however I figured I’d chime in with my general recommendation to avoid Accutane. I strongly suspect Accutane use is one of the main reasons I’m currently on TRT.

    Alcohol Consumption and TRT/HCG

Totally fine. Been doing it for years.

    Has Anyone Stopped HCG

How so, aside from the obvious being able to inject half as many times in a given year lol? OP: Respectfully, you may be overthinking this. Just stop using hcg and see how it goes. If you find you felt better on it, hop back on. FWIW, I’ve done TRT with and without hcg and prefer it without.

Two days in. ED is a problem

Your doctor very likely will prescribe you 5mg daily Tadalafil. Definitely go generic and make sure you use a GoodRx coupon...the difference in price is unbelievable. If your doctor refuses to prescribe Tadalafil, which would be extreme based on the low risk nature of the drug and the symptoms...

Two days in. ED is a problem

Whether or not your doc would use Empower for your rx is really up to your doc. That said, there’s nothing magic about Empower’s cream and cream is not particularly difficult for compounders to produce. I used cream from both a local compounder and from Empower and didn’t notice any difference...

Anyone feels better on less frequent injections? for ex.: e7d vs e3.5d

Can you please give more details on the obsessive thoughts that you experience? Assuming this is something you never experienced before TRT.

Two days in. ED is a problem

That’s not enough for most people. Not surprised to hear how you’re feeling. I recall feeling the same crash early evening on a cream protocol in which I applied 100mg/day, AM only. Going forward, you will want to use 200mg/ml cream. Topi-Click dispensers make cream a lot easier - with each...

Two days in. ED is a problem

It’s not clear from your post how much total you’re applying. IME, cream was very effective for libido/EQ. However, I needed 150 mg/day (100 mg AM, 50 mg PM) to get there.

What's the half life of T Cream?

I tried (and overall liked) a protocol in which I used 2 clicks AM, 1 click PM. 200mg/ml cream. I got labs in the morning about 12 hours after previous evening application/before morning application, and did labs again later that afternoon about 4 or 5 hours after morning application. The labs...

Just getting started and not too sure what to expect.............

For perspective, I’ve beeon TRT for 3.5 years and sometimes feel as though I’m “just getting started”. Yes, I do feel as though the positives outweigh the negatives. If you truly are a candidate for TRT (it sounds like you are) you likely will too. But don’t expect it overnight. No, as long as...

    Nandrolone-based Protocol

To be clear, my question is not about using nandrolone as an add-on to a test cyp based protocol. I have used/am currently using nandrolone in addition to my test cyp protocol. I’m interested in hearing from people who have used nandrolone as the base. For example, something like 200mg ND/week...

Viagra or Cialis: Which gets you Harder?

To add to the conversation - they say with Tadalafil timing isn’t as important. Though as someone who uses 5mg daily, I definitely notice it works better in the few hours after taking it.

    Testosterone/Estradiol Ratio

I don’t have any labs in front of me but I want to say mid 30s if I recall?

    Testosterone/Estradiol Ratio

Based on no medical education whatsoever - but a few years of sticking myself with needles and rubbing cream in odd places - I sometimes wonder if it might be a better approach to tune in E2 to just below top of the range (without AIs) and let TT/FT be wherever they may be based on that. We go...

Testosterone in Atrevis hydrogel base = almost double test levels!

Are/were you a Defy patient? Curious about which provider you are using that is ok running your rx through either Empower or Medquest.

    TRT and Serotonin

I'm curious to know whether or not long-term HPTA shutdown, or some other mechanism from long-term TRT, has any effect on brain serotonin levels, serotonin transmitters, or the brain's ability to uptake serotonin. Anyone have any insight here? @Mountain Man ?

How long before the effects of test cream are felt?

I started TRT on cream (100mg/day) and felt it more or less immediately.

    T Cream Question

Sounds like you're doing things right regarding labs/application times. It looks like your doctor has you using a cream that is 50mg/ml, and you are dispensing this cream with a topi-click dispenser. I just don't think that's enough for effective TRT. I know that I would definitely not be...

    T Cream Question

The big question is - WHY did your doctor lower your already low dose? If there were side effects such as high hematocrit, etc then that is probably the prudent thing to do. If, however, he simply looked at the number (984 TT) and decided "that's too high", even though you told him you felt...

Daily Sub Q TRT injection ?

Been following along and have a few thoughts: - In the long term, it doesn’t really matter when you switch to dailies. Though like others, I think it’s best and makes most sense to do it whenever it would otherwise be time to inject on your current protocol (trough). - I’ve had similar SHBG to...

    T Subq vs T cream

I’ve been back and forth a few times. Even daily injections are easier/more convenient than cream. I prefer injections for many reasons, but cream also worked for me. IMHO some of “those” blowhards are best ignored lol.

Daily Sub Q TRT injection ?

You can make drawing way easier and more accurate and injections more comfortable by using .3ml 30g 5/16 EasyTouch syringes. With the small .3ml syringes, it is a lot easier to accurately draw out small volumes. And the small needles are great for daily subq.

    Very Confused - Lab Results - Advice/Insights?

It was. However, I do not have any reason to believe that Empower's T Cyp is underdosed. Do you? Ultimately, I believe what madman stated above it correct. Additionally, I'm thinking if any conclusions are to be made from those labs, the changes are most likely explained by the lowered SHBG...

    Very Confused - Lab Results - Advice/Insights?

No - though I’ve tried 3 different brands (in addition to Empower, which is more or less my baseline) and have not noticed any difference. I’m just going to have to go with SHBG was driving these differences.

    More Hemoglobin Issues

Unfortunately not lol. Though the feeling of rapid heart rate and that general anxiety that you can feel in your chest has only happened to me when my dose was way too high.

    More Hemoglobin Issues

Just out of curiosity, would you consider the things that get into your mind to be “intrusive thoughts”? Are there specific subjects that you usually dwell on, or is it totally random?
  30. S

    More Hemoglobin Issues

I agree with madman that you have not been on your new protocol long enough for changes to materialize. And as a side note - I would never make any changes based off of an HGB reading at blood donation center like Red Cross. The tests they use are not known to be very precise.

    Commence TRT before/after Gyno Surgery?

That's a tough one. And in the end, I don't think it really matters much. However, if I had to pick, I would do the surgery well after I had been on TRT for some time. You will not have a complete loss of sensation in the nipple area - at least I do not. I can still feel general "weirdness" in...
