First Time User of Trimix, recommended 50 Units! I'm worried

I've been going through countless forums and reading what people have said about what they dose, and hearing horror stories of doses as low as 10 units putting people in the ER, and yet I'm told to dose 50 Units having never used it before ever.

Seeking advice on how to proceed, I don't yet know the "details" of the meds, as they don't arrive for another day or so.

You might have a more diluted concentration of medication than is typical, but I wouldn't bank on that. If I were you I would start with a small trial dose like .08 and see what happens. The results will inform your next steps.

You are correct to be concerned about starting with 50 units, because if that is a normal tri-mix formula, that dose would almost certainly cause severe priapism.

Once I receive the vial can I tell by the ingredients if it's low or normal or the like?

I had actually in my head thought that perhaps 10 units to start, but even that has me worried. Again, I have no clue what I'm getting here, so it may very well be as you suggested a diluted solution and I simply need to delve into the ingredients to determine that.

Any suggestions on "reading the vial" would be much appreciated.

Here's the information for Empower's formulation of Tri-Mix which I think is pretty standard:

Tri-Mix Injection:
(Papaverine HCl / Phentolamine Mesylate / Prostaglandin E1) (Lyophilized) 150 mg/5 mg/50 mcg
Once reconstituted with 5 mL of Bacteriostatic Water:
(Papaverine HCl / Phentolamine Mesylate / Prostaglandin E1) 30 mg/1 mg/10 mcg/mL

You can compare the dosage of your formula to the Empower formula. I can tell you that .5 ml of Empower Tri-Mix would absolutely send you to the hospital. A safe starting dose of that formula would be .08 ml or less in my opinion.

So if it looks like above, 8 units to start... and if it's a lesser diluted dosage then I guess I have more questions for the group because 50 units of any seem off the charts.

Has anyone else used University Compounding Pharmacy in Michigan, which is where I am getting mine from?

I don't know anything about tri-mix, but I'd be mighty worried to start with a huge amount. That's not something you would want to go to the hospital for

So thought I would follow-up with some of those that initially helped me on my first (now 2 experiences).

So I decided the first time to do a 12 unit dose based on what I had read. Worked wonderful, had probably some of the best sex with my wife in a very long time, we did have a bit of a moment of panic 3.5 hours into it having taken Pseudoephedrine and it was still rock hard, but as we were talking about getting dressed to visit a hospital things finally cooled down.

I cannot imagine what would have happened had I followed the doctors 50 unit recommendation. Now, just the other night we tried 6 units, again absolutely astounding sex and 2-2.5 hours in length.

To be up front I am going on a bit of a adult getaway with my wife here soon where we will be at a romantic cabin for 5 nights. Now I know when I got Trimix (mind you I have only used it twice now) there were a number of warnings, such as no more than 3 times in a week, always alternate sides...

Great call! I'm 57 & have major ED from past accutane use. Anyway, even for me .05 is a solid 1 hr erection & .06 is like 1.5 hr. Go slow & titrate up in little steps. Best of luck...it's a great med when used correctly

I did Accutane at 15. Finasteride got me within a week. Never had an issue with Accutane.

Accutane was a life saving drug. Bad cystic acne as a kid.

It does not imply that you use accutane at age 17, are fine from 17 to 45, and then have sexual dysfunction starting at 46. If you have sexual dysfunction as a result of accutane, it would begin during or shortly after the course of accutane.

I was fck'd up by a PA. He started me on 40 mg a day for first month. Felt great, great libido, skin was going good too. Then month 2 he says we're going to 80mg for next 4 months... I questioned that (knowing the risks with 'tane) and he says "that's what we always do". So about 10 days later at 80mg day my dick goes numb & ED sets in for life. Rest is history as they say.

Yea fck'd up, but I had to move on with life. I think in low dose (20 mg max) it might be ok for most but I got fck'd. Had an MRI after my ED set in & basically said my pituitary was "small" in addition to TT being 250. can't prove shit but I was 100% normal and great libido BEFORE Accutane... 1 month and 10 days later i was a hormonal train wreck.

Thanks in advance.start with half and see how long you're hard. have some sudafed or benedryl handy so that if it lasts more than a couple of hours you can take to soften it up. alot of it depends on where you source your trimix and the strength of it. after a couple of uses you will know what works best for you. I do 30ml and stay hard thru the first pop, after we use oral and toys to keep going and I can last for an hour or so.
