Results with Clomid - Success or Failure?

The consensus online will be that your dose is too high. Maybe that's correct, but I'm another guy who is on 50mg/ED. I tried dropping down to 25mg/ED, felt no better, and my Free T fell significantly. I feel essentially the same - same lack of libido, but with a little more energy - at the...

Clomid Experiment - Is Less Sometimes More?

Update: Actually splitting Clomid and enclomiphene days, so taking my 50mg Clomid on one day, 25mg enclomiphene the next, etc. No bloods yet. I've had a minor acne breakout since I began this regime. I've had an absolutely remarkable shift in my mental energy/ability to focus. I've had ADHD...

Why Clomid Fails: The Zuclomiphene Threshold

Thanks, Dr. Saya. You've got a knack for dropping seriously helpful information on us in ways we can actually understand. Really appreciate it.

Why Clomid Fails: The Zuclomiphene Threshold

I'm very interested in this. If the suboptimal libido results of Clomid are due to the zuclomiphene, wouldn't we (all other things being equal) see better - or at least different - results in guys using other SERMS? It's very rare to see a guy prescribed Nolva on the Testosterone forums, much...

Clomid Experiment - Is Less Sometimes More?

Thanks, Doc. After reading a bit more in this forum (there's always something new to learn here) I've changed course a bit. 1) Levothyroxin @ 150mcg/ED 2) Pregnenolone @ 25mg/ED 3) Enclomiphene @ 25mg/ED 4) Diet shift - major reduction in simple sugars [the T4 and Enclomiphene are "research...

Clomid Experiment - Is Less Sometimes More?

I have posted on here before, but here's the basics: * Low T last January * Clomid prescribed at 50mg/day last February * After a little over a month at 50mg/day: unimpressive Total T (went from 300s to low 500s); unimpressive LH numbers (went from 2.5 to 3.5). * Dropped down to 25mg/day for...

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

I haven't discussed the thyroid with my PCP. I mentioned it to my urologist and he gave me the referral to an endo. I didn't know if PCPs tended to write prescriptions for thyroid medications.

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

    Results and reference ranges: Pre-TRT Total T: 362 ng/dl (250-1100) Free T: 79 pg/ml (35 - 155) LH: 2.5 mIU/mL (1.5-9.3) FSH: 1.9 mIU/mL (1.6-8.0) E2: 14 pg/ml (< or = 29) [SHBG: 28 nmol/L] (Calculated from Test + 5.2 albumin] TSH: 4.7 Began Clomid @ 50mg/day late February April Total T...

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

Subjectively, about the exact same as I did before beginning Clomid. Like many (perhaps most) I had an initial high for the first month of use. Now, 8 months later, my sex drive is back to zero and my energy is low.

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

My other option is just buying synthetic T4 at a "research chemicals" site and seeing if it works.

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

Re: thyroid - simply waiting to see an endocrinologist (6-12 months from now). From my reading, it appears that Synthroid would be right for me. If my GP were willing to write me a script for it, I'd just go see her right now. But my guess is that's a little outside of her comfort zone, so I'm...

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

I'd love to get the thyroid taken care of, but all the endos in my area have waiting lists of 6-12 months. So I'm stuck for a year to half a year. I guess I should just suck it up, as your analysis seems mostly right. My testes response to the LH is, I think, basically fair. My Free T is at...

    Combining Clomid and HCG?

I'm just curious about whether this might work for a subset of secondary hypogondal guys who aren't responding strongly to Clomid alone but want to maintain at least some of their natural LH production. I know TRT will shut you down, full stop. My limited understanding of HCG is that, as an...

    Is My Doctor Right?

johndoe: I added a few results to my original post - E2, calculated SHBG, FSH from initial workup. Sorry I don't have more.

    Is My Doctor Right?

I haven't bothered with getting my E2 numbers, just because I'm on a budget. I'm low bodyfat, probably about 10% now, and don't get any sides that I'd consider estrogen sides. Pre-Clomid, my E2 was at 14 pg/ml. I understand that to be on the lower side.
