Compounded testosterone cream application sites aside from the scrotum

Yes. Still using cream. It’s been fine. So, no real reason to change and try anything else. I shave my scrotum once a week. Not sure if it matters that much. I don’t have a particularly hairy scrotum to begin with.

The site of application matters. Absorption from the inner thigh is not as good as from the scrotum.

150mg (3 clicks) once daily to the inner thighs. The initial dose that caused issues was 100mg (2 clicks) twice daily to the scrotum. I think my total testosterone on that dose was something like 1800. Way, too high.

Compounded testosterone cream application sites aside from the scrotum

3 clicks (150mg) once in morning. Only issue I’ve experienced since starting TRT 3 years ago is some fluid retention. That was caused by the dose being inappropriate (too high. My provider is aggressive with dosing) and me not knowing better at the time.

Compounded testosterone cream application sites aside from the scrotum

I’ve used it on my inner thighs before and wouldn’t expect any issues with it transferring when applied there. If it helps, I used 150mg (3 clicks from a topiclick device) applied to the inner thighs and got a total testosterone of 980 with a free testosterone of 23.

    Treatment resistant acne

Not thrilled with using an androgen blocker either but, it worked well enough to get through the worst of it. I did discover that whey protein was also contributing. Which is odd as I never had a problem with it before that course of prednisone…

    Treatment resistant acne

I did try a topical called Winlevi. It’s an androgen blocker. It didn’t get rid of the acne but greatly reduced the severity. Which is interesting since elimination of the TRT didn’t help.

    Treatment resistant acne

Thanks. Lowering the TRT dose made no difference at all. I even ended up stopping it forma couple of months and that didn’t make a dent in it. It seems to be entirely caused by the prednisone. I’m about 16 months out from my last prednisone dose and things are pretty much back to normal. A few...

    Leaky gut

A Gastroenterologist would help you get to the bottom of any GI symptoms you are experiencing. They will not diagnose you with leaky gut because leaky gut is not an actual medical diagnosis. They will look for what might be causing inflammation in your GI tract. There also is no evidence that...

    Leaky gut

Why do you think you have leaky gut? Leaky gut isn’t an actual diagnosis. There is debate in the medical literature about the validity of it but it seems that increased intestinal permeability (aka leaky gut) is more likely a symptom of a chronic inflammatory issue in the GI tract rather than a...

    Application of compounded testosterone cream.

Interesting how variable this is per person. Twice daily cream wasn’t a great experience for me. Got really bloated and libido wasn’t great. When I reduced to daily, things got a whole lot better. Seems some people need that daily fluctuation in levels rather keeping a more steady level.

    Prednisone and libido

Realized my response above was poorly worded and may no make a lot of sense. The point I was trying to make is that if you need the prednisone, the RA may not be well controlled. Uncontrolled inflammation and not feeling great could then be the cause of your lower libido.

    Prednisone and libido

What maintenance medication are you taking for the RA? Might be time to change that up to reduce the number times you have to take a course of prednisone.
