    Shoulder problems help

I have used both. Helped a bit but not 100%. Follow the advice given here, but first see a good sports medicine orthopedist, get some PT, but be careful that they don’t make it worse. I had a guy one time that made it worse. Now I do my own routine. Dumbbells with a neutral grip, loop style...

    Shoulder problems help

Bone spurs arthritis, and three tears repaired. Both shoulders have issues and you need to be careful. One was operated on and the other has multiple tears. The only reason I had the surgery was that I could not lift my arm and it was like that for a few months before I opted for the surgery...

    Shoulder problems help

Not so sure about that. It may work for some with moderate tears but for me that was one of the worst things I could do for it. I have problems with both shoulders sine the late 1960’s and have worked out and around injuries for that whole time. Surgery on the shoulder 10 years ago and do some...

    Shoulder problems help

I feel the same way, as they are not good for so,e people and I am one of them. If you do upright rows using a straight bar use a wide, somewhere around slightly less than shoulder width or use two dumbbells.

    Shoulder problems help

This is excellent advice. I have had shoulder problems since the early 7O’s. I’m addition to what Guided has said I would suggest using bands atleta for a while to increase blood flow. Standing rows with a wide grip. There are a lot of good sites on the Internet and on YouTube they can tell you...

    Help identifying this arm injury??

Wow, this is pretty ironic. I have the exact same injury right now. It sounds like it could be a combination of a brachial radialis tear and cubital tunnel syndrome. There is no way to tell unless you see an orthopedic specialist. I suggest you do that as soon as possible. You can work around...

Does arthritic elbow mean I can't lift weights?

Guided by Voices nailed it. I would add that using loop style bands for painful movements and some minor adjustments can make a huge difference in maintaining muscle and even building some after injury.

Can an older man still build muscle while taking statins?

No, I am not on statins. My doctor said it would be a possibility, but gave me pretty stupid reasons for that. My blood work was fine but he said because I am a male and over 65 it was suggested. I talked to my TRT provider and he told me there was no downside and that it would be preventative...

Can an older man still build muscle while taking statins?

It looks like this thread has devolved into one that discusses heart issues. To answer your question about building muscle, I think the answer is that this depends. I am 71 next month and what I am finding is that it is not possible, at least for me, to build mass. Orthopedic issues make it a...

AGE SPECIFIC CALCULATED FREE TESTOSTERONE RANGES IN ADULT MEN

My results for Free T were 1.16 ng/dl. I am 70. Anyone know where this would place me? My total testosterone is always at the top of the range and my free is always mid range. I am trying boron supplementation to raise it.
