Update:
I ended up talking with the urologist and took the anastrozole for 5 days. I was completely miserable, joints a wreck, and forget about libido. I stopped taking it, ripped the doctor for being a complete moron, and started looking elsewhere. Took about 3 weeks for my joints to stop...
@johnt
Thanks for the reply. The first couple books I read on the subject before I even found this site were Nelson & Jay's books from the searches I did on Amazon. After that, I read Thor Training and Master Your T by Christopher Walker and all the articles on Anabolicmen.com to try to...
Thank you Dr. Saya!
He had my labs and read them to me. I also received these from him:

Update - Met with a TRT doc / urologist through my HMO. We reviewed my last labs which were just:
TT - 363
FT - 6.24
E2 - 42
He said I'm not a candidate for TRT because my last labs for total t were 363, 392, 440. He prescribed 1MG Anastrozole/Day and recheck labs in 4 weeks follow-up in 6...
Thanks Vince! I am going to contact them to see about average costs so I can try to fit this into my budget. If my diagnosis is to start any type of recurring treatment, I need to be able to keep it going since I will be worse off than when I started if I have to stop!
Again, I appreciate the...
My experience so far has been limited to doctors within my HMO. I pay upwards of $600/month for medical insurance for my kids and I, and with other costs, fitting in out of pocket (telemedicine) on top that is regular and recurring as a cost is extremely difficult. That said, I have had no...
Thanks Coastwatcher. My TT & FT are both on the low end, and LH/FSH being high, which I think means that I'm just not producing. My E2 isn't bad, but my FT/TT are low, so I still might need an AI if I do end up taking something to up the TT/FT. I understand that given my age, a HCG restart is...
Thanks Coastwatcher. This has been a real pain to deal with. I'm at this point not sure what to do. I was able to get some updated labs, and I would welcome anyone's opinion on the next steps given all discussion above on symptoms.
Labs:
Update - Stopped using saw palmetto due to research provided by the team here. Now I have a persistent ache in the testicles worse on the right than the left. Sort of the same feeling as when they are struck by a graze and you get that sick feeling. Also have intermittent pain in the prostate...
I think what was more concerning was that I was told to take it by my physician without any discussion of sides.
In talking to a doc here, he was asking about how I carry as much muscle mass as I do without supporting testosterone. My last dexascan had me at 210 lbs. lean mass and 68 lbs. fat...
Oh no! I have been on saw palmetto, which was a PCP recommendation for some of the same reasons in the thread you sent over. I think they believe that it would not cause lasting harm because the source is natural and not pharmaceutical! I am stopping taking that right now.
I am going to contact Defy and get an opinion. The comments and help from this site has been far and away more than I have received from all of the doctors I have already visited put together. I have one question though. Prior to getting new labs, should I start taking everything OTC that is...
My E2 has repeatedly tested in the high 40's & I've had gyno since puberty & my docs don't seem to think it's a big deal. Main reason why I looking at 5th & 6th opinions. Any idea if grape seed extract, stinging nettle, zinc or anything else OTC will help?
I researched my insurance company and HAP does cover testosterone replacement, which just confuses me as to why my levels need to be so low (<175) before they will consider treating. Is there something I am missing? It seems like from my multiple low T symptoms as well as my years of labs all...
LOL, it is ridiculous what the doctors here and insurance make you go through. My father is 74, and his T was taken multiple times, all under 100. Had every symptom, and we had to pay out of pocket for a month before the insurance would cover him. His quality of life has changed in such a...
