Contrary to the popular trend here on the forums, high E2 can cause a myriad of issues. I’m an absolute basket case if my E2 gets over 40-45. I’m talking completely impotent, panic attacks, zero libido, etc. Dr. Saya and I target my E2 between 25-30 which seems to be the sweet spot for me. All...
I’ve been with Defy for about 4 years now and it does seem that follow up times and customer service have declined dramatically in the past 6 months or so. I’ve been a huge advocate for Defy, and Dr. Saya in particular, so I hope they get whatever is going on over there sorted out.
So, if I'm reading correctly, the new rules would require a patient to meet with the provider one time after which the provider can prescribe refills to the patient indefinitely?
Definitely N=1 here, but my LDL dropped substantially after adding HCG to my routine. I have familial hypercholesterolemia, so my LDL has been in the 220-230 range most of my adult life. Since adding the HCG, it's down to 158. Still too high, obviously, but lower than it has EVER been. Just...
Wonderful. Glad to hear you're tolerating it well and I hope I have similar luck. Out of curiosity how long have you been taking it and at what dosage?
The complaints of weight gain I've read are largely anecdotal and from the limited studies I can find, weight LOSS (if any change at all) is...
Vince,
I haven't researched doxazosin, but I certainly will. What kind of reduction in BP have you seen with it? What dosage?
One thing I need to mention is that being an avid cyclist (5-6 days per week) I have to be careful of BP meds effects on heart rate and cardiac output as they can...
Just left my PCP's office with a prescription for losartan after several office visits of 150/90 (average daily readings run around 135/85, but there are obviously some spikes). Being my first time to take medication for BP, the Dr. allowed me to choose what to take and, based largely on the...
Thanks madman, good point on the Free T. Right now I'm leaning toward giving 60mg twice a week a try before increasing. I suspect it will still be a touch too low but, again, I won't know unless I try. I'll follow up here in a few weeks with new labs.
Thanks again for all your help!
Sorry, I know the math is obviously simple but I was under the impression that when going to more frequent injections, you could typically reduce your total weekly dose (ie 75mg x 2 doesn't necessarily equal 150mg x 1). What say you?
On somewhat of a side note, I'm going to hold up at 150mg...
First off, thanks for all the replies. I'm determined to get this dialed in, with or without my physicians help.
A couple of quick follow up questions before I start this shallow IM/SC twice a week thing.
1) Are you guys backfilling the insulin syringe or drawing straight from the vial?
2)...
