I think the smaller gauge needles (25g and smaller) actually dull more than the larger needles after passing through the plunger. I really notice the dulling of my 27g needles that I use for B12 injections. I lose about .01 ML (one mark on the 1 ML BD syringe) going from a 22g 1" to a 25g 1".

I draw with a 22g and inject with a 25g. Loss with the needle change is very slight .01-.02 ML. 22g is fine for the draw and is easy on the rubber on the bottle. I have read reports of guys using 18g for the draw ending up with pieces of rubber in the bottle or syringe.

Keith, What brand of 26 g 5/8" needles are you using? I have had no luck finding 26g needles. The 26g seems to have an ideal profile......if I could just find them.
