Yes, if I don't apply the gel my the numbers basically get cut in half. Total will be low 300's. Free will be 5 to 7.- andro1percent

9 years on Gel - Switch to Injection - Effect on HCT?
Hi, I've been on 1% Gel 1.25grams 4 pumps total for 9 years. Peaks are 2 hours after applying the gel. Generally in the upper 600's to low 700's total. Free is always in the upper portion of the range (13 to 15). HCT currently 43. SHBG and E1/E2 are both good as well. My interest in switching...- andro1percent

Androgel Generic 1% - 8 Year Use - Latest Bloodwork
Very interesting (the studies). I do think I feel the swing from morning when my level's are quite high to the late evening when I'm probably sub 400 total and half of what my free was in the morning. I am going to try applying lotion in the afternoon to see if it keeps my levels more consistent...- andro1percent

Androgel Generic 1% - 8 Year Use - Latest Bloodwork
I am on 4 pump's of 1% Generic Gel. Each pump is 12.5 grams. So, 50 grams total per morning. "Seagal's" post above I think illuminates a possible issue with Gel and perhaps it's why most men don't like it. It can get you in the upper part of the high normal range. As the title says I've been using 1% generic gel for 8 years. 4 pumps total. I recently learned that Androgel themselves does NOT recommend applying the gel the morning you get blood draws. What affects Test Level's when on TRT?
Interesting, I am going to do an experiment and apply the gel to my ribs/abdomen for a month and then test my levels. I did some reading on this site and it seems applying it to the ribs/abdomen can increase estrogen in many men. So, it may not be a good idea. But if it does work well for me...- andro1percent

What affects Test Level's when on TRT?
That makes sense. I am curious as I now have 7 years of bloodwork. 6 years being on TRT. I've been on Testosterone gel 1% (4 pumps total) for 6 years now.
