Injection Needles/Advice & Sweating Question

I posted in another topic area and was referred to here for questions. I currently take 1 shot 200 Test Cyp. I was prescribed Anastrozole which I'm currently taken whenever needed. I took it for sensitive nipples. However after a month taking it 1 MG per week I don't have the side effects, however I do constantly have sweating issues. It's really annoying and it happens all the time of day, I've never had this before.

I also currently use the 23 gauge needles that came from the pharmacy with my testosterone. It's 1 inch. I do have general soreness in my glute and the one time I did my delt it was the most pain I've ever experienced and it lasted for days. I've seen guys use a 1/2 inch needle. Will that be effective in the glute/shoulder, will it reach the muscle?? Also I heard of changing the tips, so use the 23 gauge to draw and use maybe a 27-29 gauge to inject, any down sides with this? I believe the current brand of needle is BD, if I order a different brand for the larger needle tip will they be inter changeable?

Thanks again for the advice!

Yes you can draw with a 23g and inject with a smaller needle, many do. Originally I was given 21g to draw and 25g to inject, now I draw and inject with a 5/8 25g needle. Works for me. Re the other q, a 200mg single shot is a lot for someone on TRT. The testosterone has a tendency to make you flush and sweat, so it's pretty normal. But halving the dose and pinning twice a week might help. Most here pin between 60 and 100mg twice per week.

You have posted before, and I raise the same points - your protocol is not well designed and is likely working against you. Two hundred milligrams in a single weekly injection is at the upper end of TRT; smaller, frequent injections typically bring better results. How can you dose Anastrozole on an "as needed" basis? Do you have some lab values you can post?

Billy,

You've asked these very same questions in another thread, and many different guys have answered you. You've received a lot of good advice which you're either A.) ignoring, or B.) disregarding as bad advice.

Have you called Defy yet for a consult?

I know that I personally told you in the other thread to quit harpooning yourself with the 23ga/1" needles, and switch to insulin pins for comfort. I even provided a link to easy touch.

Your question regarding changing the needles to a smaller gauge is possible, as long as you have luer lock syringes. You can buy almost any size luer lock needle (usually in 100 count boxes), to use with any luer lock syringe. The brand doesn't matter, as long as it's a luer lock.

A 1/2" needle is long enough to effectively deliver your medication. Testosterone doesn't have to go deep into the muscle to assure good bioavailability. I personally use a 1/2"/29ga insulin pin for test, and I inject into my quad (vastus lateralis). My legs are long and lean, with hardly any body fat. That 1/2" needle is more than likely going shallow IM, not SubQ...and you know what, it really doesn't matter either way. You will have good bioavailability with SubQ, shallow IM, or deep IM, it really doesn't matter.

Ok great, Thank you for the help, i just re-posted here because i thought i was in the wrong section! I am calling Defy this week. My results are posted above (that's all i have so far, any help on which test i should take would be great. I currently have no idea what has caused the drop. My Specialist and GC think it was years of anxiety meds and stress that has contributed the most to the low T.

Any experience with the sweating?

I did experience heavier sweating when I first started my protocol, but when I cut the dose in half and switched to twice a week injections that seemed to help as well.
Also, the sweating honestly could be related to a variety of health related issues.
As I understand it, a fatty liver can lead to excessive sweating as well, so I don't think it's going to be straight forward nailing down excessive sweating.
