Daily 5 mg Cialis + Viagra = Therapeutic Duplication?

I recently got a call from my TRT Dr (A) turning down my request for renewing Sildenafil, because he checked my "medication profile" and found that I was seeing a urologist (B) who prescribed daily 5 mg Cialis for me (mainly to fend off BPH). The claim from A was that the two drugs have an adverse interaction when used together. I checked this on drugs.com :

Not only does this reference state that there is no interaction between the two drugs, but that a Therapeutic Duplication benefit for treating ED might outweigh any risks. I recall reading about this several times in this forum - Cialis doesn't quite bring you where you need to be (or has different reaction times in different men), so you top it off with Viagra (Sildnafil) closer to the time of activity. Sildenafil typically acts faster and more reliably, especially in men who have lost sensitivity to Cialis.

It seems the medical profession has a way to go for multiple Mds to track a single patient's records. Some of it is on me too. I plan to cite the drugs.com reference to Dr A, give him Dr B's contact info, and if Dr A still won't give me the Sildenafil Rx, I'm sure Dr B will. I just have to be tactful enough not to lose my rapport with Dr A, because TRT has been good for me.

Agreed, I use 2.5mg Cialis daily, and "top it off" with 50mg Viagra for extended benefits in the sack when possible. No adverse reactions. The drugs are obviously very similar, so you just need to be careful not overdose. I think Mountain Man on this forum uses much larger doses with no adverse reactions.

I do this and the combination works. I am with Abraham Morgentaler’s clinic in Boston and they say that this maximizes the effects. For me it is a great combination. A doctor should approve however.

For an update, after I made my urologist (Dr B) aware of Dr A turning down my Rx renewal for Sildenafil, he stated: 1) he's not aware of any interaction; 2) Dr B understands the therapeutic duplication that you're confirming and believes I'm a good candidate for it; 3) if Dr A won't fill the renewal, Dr B will; 4) Dr B is more than happy to focus my case with Dr A.

It has always been my experience to not take "Doctor's expert opinion" at face value especially if it doesn't work to make me feel my best.

A few years ago there was a peptide company that made a “Triple X” peptide which was 20mg Viagra, 10 Levitra and 5 mg Cialis per ML. Lots of guys used it, including myself, with no issues at all. In fact, the combo worked great even at 1/4-1/2 of an ML dose

@Mountain Man If I may ask, how what are the doses of each he has you taking?

I take 5-10 mg cialis in the morning and 50 or more viagra. Should add that I am 66 and they have tole me that my heart can tolerate this. At my age priapism is not a real threat either.

I have to wonder how many guys get priapism from pde5s who have legitimate ED. Also, how many older.guys as well.

I mix them. 5-10 tadalifil daily (BPH) and 50mg sildenafil several times a week. I'm 73 and enjoying an active life. Can I get an erection without them? Absolutely, but at this age I like knowing its got my back. And I like morning wood.
