I could use some advise for improving libido
my last blood work here https://www.excelmale.com/forum/sho...k-220mg-test-cyp-a-week-6-25mg-Exemestane-EOD

short story started TRT was feeling great. Started taking Lyrica felt like shit but helped pain quit taking Lyrica due to side effects and libido has improved but not to where it was or where I feel it should be.

I am considering asking to raise dose as my free T was low or start HCG and inject at the same time in the same syringe as my testosterone.
I think HCG would help more but raising the dose would be a lot cheaper.
Anyone who has added HCG I would appreciate your opinion if it helped libido, and mood/since of well being

Another test I had my total cortisol was high but I believe that because I am currently in a stressful situation I really cant do a whole lot about at the moment.

In looking again at your blood work, I noticed that your estradiol value was "high" by the reference that your lab provided, but I wonder - was the proper (sensitive, LC/MS,MS) methodology employed? Establishing a valid E2 reading is important as too far in either direction can result in problems. And DHT, did you test for that? I apologize if I missed it. I would urge you to add HCG to your protocol in any event, there are sound reasons for using it, even if you don't "feel" anything from it (I don't, though many do).

FWIW - DHEA opposes cortisol so supplementing DHEA with your Doc's approval could help. That by itself may not specifically improve libido, however it should help with the stress. In my case HCG does nothing to help my libido, but everybody is different and it seems to help some guys.

It wouldn't hurt to check estrogen sensitive at a different lab like discount labs. I notice if I up my AI dose I start feeling my joints dry and get the snap crackle and pop. If I lower it my skin gets really oily, I brake out, and get irritated easer.

DHT was 57 range 30-85

Thanks I will try some over the counter DHEA 1st and see if there is any difference.

If your stress is affecting your sleep, take your DHEA with dinner instead of breakfast. That way it can help counter any nighttime cortisol spike.

Are there any other supplement you know that work well to combat stress and have you found anything that helps libido?

I have never had anything even close to decent libido on TRT and its been 5 years now. For stress though, I have found that Seriphos helps me sleep and prevents nighttime cortisol spikes.

Started hCG two weeks ago and my libido is through the roof for the first time in at least ten years. 24 hours is too long to wait for sex, used to be able to go a month and not care. Granted, I just got my bloodwork back my levels are off the chart...

Enhancing DHT via the use of HCG, compounded testosterone creams applied to the scrotum, DHT gel (not available in the US) and Proviron (not available in the US) are great ways to increase sex cravings in men.

A peptide PT-141 has also shown some benefits but it never worked for me.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I like to do things one at a time so I know what's doing what. I started taking DHEA last night 25mg a couple of hours before bed and if the DHEA doesn't help I might give Seriphos a shot in the future and see if helps. I plan on asking my TRT DR to start HCG 500 iu 2x a week in the same syringe with my testosterone shots like nelson has outlined in his video. I called empower pharmacy and they said once mixed the vial should last 60 days if refrigerated so the 11000 iu vile seems to be the most cost effective even if a little is wasted. I bet proviron and DHT gel would help from all I have read but its not available in the USA legally anyways.
.
I will report back on what I am doing and if it helps and my experience.

I feel confident enough to say the DHEA before bed has helped with sleep and maybe mood a little. I am starting HCG this week as soon as it comes in the mail from empire 500iu 2x a week with my testosterone injections I will update on how I feel good or bad with mood and libido.

Paul,

I'm taking a compounded capsule (1 per evening after dinner) of DHEA 30mg/Pregnenolone 50mg, and my DHEA-Sulfate went from 109ug/dL (before adding this supplement) to 546ug/dL on my last set of labs. My sensitive E2 tested at 68 (same range as yours), with my total test level at 1131, and I have no symptoms of high E2. Libido is very good, and I'm 59 yrs old.

Prior to this, libido was very low, and interest in sex was practically non-existent.

I stated HCG last week just had my 2nd 500iu shot today. My mood has seemed a little better. I know everyone is different but what's your experience with how long it takes before improvements in libido start?

Thanks

Took me two - three weeks at 500 twice weekly. I've since changed dosage to 100IU daily but balls seem to be shrinking a little, may have to bump it back up to 250 twice weekly once I get my next bloodwork done.

You may want to look into a very low dose of Cabergoline to help with Libido.

Dr. Eugene Shippen prescribes this to his men where TRT doesn't fully restore libido.

Carber is a dopamine agonist which is critical for libido and increase orgasm intensity.

A twice a week dose of just .25 mg does the trick with most men...even women!

I've used it for years and my libido is always through the roof.

Do some research on it and you will see...of course it is off label prescribed but so are a ton of other drugs.

There are some overseas pharmacies that sell it as well and at a good price.

I swear by the stuff!
