Can iodine supplementation increase blood pressure?

I've been on trt about 4 months now. I'm taking 160mg a week. My blood pressure has been really good normally 120/80. I recently started supplementing with sea kelp for iodine about 4 days ago. My blood pressure today was 155/96!! Could the iodine be causing the high blood pressure? Thanks

How much iodine are you supplementing, I've been told not to go over 500 mcg a day. But still it should not raise you blood pressure.

No it shouldn't but take the dose on the bottle and no more. Very important.
