Opinions on New TRT Regiment

Hey Gang

Well I finally injected today and wanted to see what you though about some of the meds Dr. Saya has presccribed. Test seems low to me but I am sure it will be increased in time:

Test Cyp in GS Oil 200mg/ml .4 ml twice/week
HCG II 11000 U .5 ml twice/week
MIC25/25/25MG/MCB/CARN/THIA/RIBO/DEXPAN (what is this besides B lol?) 1ml 3 times/week

Oral
Capsule ANASTROZOLE/DIM 0.5/200MG 3 Capsules/week
DHEA 25MG 1 Capsule/Daily


Dr. Saya is so awesome and I pray this regiment begins to change my life. Thanks for your comments

It looks like a pretty standard protocol with a starting dose of Testosterone of .4 ml twice weekly which is 80 mg per injection or 160 mg per week and should be more than enough to get your serum levels in the optimum range.

Starting on an AI must mean you had elevated estrogen levels before you started your protocol...or at least I would hope so.

Anastrozole is a very powerful antagonist in men and 1.5 mg a week could lower your levels more than you'd like for optimal health.

If you have your pre protocol blood work and can post them here in this thread complete with ranges that'd be great.

Ditto what Gene mentioned on the Anastrozole. Keep an eye on your E2. Would be curious on some of your baseline numbers if you're open to share?

I'm on almost the same thing except he started me out injecting once a week and only 1mg adex weekly. I wonder why 1x versus 2x injections. My E2 was high in the past, so I expected the adex dosage.

Test Cyp has about a 72 half life so by injecting twice weekly a man receives lower spikes in Testosterone serum levels after injections and hence lowers aromatase synthesis ---> lower E2 levels.

Plus it provides men with better more consistent Testosterone serum levels day in and day out week over week.

Reviewed your labs and looks like you are age related androgen deficient.

Your Estrogen levels are a tad low here so I am surprised why you were prescribed with an AI initially???

I would ask the good Doctor if you could "hold" off on taking the AI till you get your next round of blood work to see if the AI is indeed warranted or not.

You can always look for symptoms of Elevated E2 when you start your TRT protocol or if your next blood work confirms it.

I am sure the good Doctor would agree to this if you asked as I know him and he's a team player.

You may also want to add 50 mg daily of Pregnenolone and DHEA to your protocol each and every morning as well when you start your TRT...there's good information in here on why you need these two prohormones.

You should do well on your TRT protocol and will get all of the subjective benefits.

Yeah I am aware of that, I just meant I wonder why the same doc started me out on 1x weekly instead of going 2 weekly like the OP. Oh well.

It's because some people don't like sticking holes in their bodies twice as much. If you asked your Doctor to split your dose into two weekly I doubt you would find resistance as long as you stick to it.

Nailed it Gene. I was doing twice weekly, and decided it was too much for me to put 2 holes in my body weekly for the next 45 years that i plan on living. Others are cool with it...it's just a personal choice.
