Hello all, here's my personal story of Low T and ED.
Almost a year ago I was diagnosed with Low T and of course had ED. Not able to get an erection never mind penetration (37 yo with no other health issues. I have been overweight almost my whole life).
Cialis/Viagra didn't help at achieving an erection either. I started on TRT last July. First on just HCG for some reasons and 5 months later on HCG + T Cyp + AI. Since last February or March we found the dose that's right for me and I feel great. T is ~1000, E2 (ultrasensitive) ~20-30 etc etc. Numbers look good but ED still an issue. I got on Cialis daily, it does help get a better volume but it doesn't really help make me rock hard. Still not able for penetration.
So Dr suggested to do a doppler study to see how my arteries and vessels work down there. To do the study, they injected Triamix and after 10 minutes the captain was errect. I don't remember when was the last time I had such an erection. Maybe never...
Long story, short, they did the ultrasound and came back that my vessels work great but my arteries do not supply enough blood into the penis to increase the pressure. Peak Systolic Velocity was 19cm/s while low normal is 25cm/s.
The good news was that the injections work for me. Maybe it worked to much this time. I got an erection that lasted too long. After the study and seeing the Dr. I went to the building's restroom and masturbated. Great!!! But no signis of the penis going down. Went the stairs up and down running but nothing. Went to starbucks for a coffee stayed there for an hour or so and still nothing. At 3 hours I went back to the Drs to take a look. They injected a drug to take it down two times and waited for another 20 mins and still no signs of getting soft. Finally, they had to put a butterfly and drain the system. From what I saw, they removed about 300ml of blood to make it somewhat flaccid. It was still a bit stiff after I left the office. By the time I drove back home it was finally down.
Back to the problem. Me having an arterial ED there are not many options.
1) Go under anesthesia and have an invasive angiography in case they find an artery close to my pelvis that's blocked and tehy put a stent. Success rate: 10%
2) Try statins to help with atherosclerosis and this might open more the micro-arteries to help with erections. Statins also help with endothelial dysfunction so I might be able to produce more NO in the future.
3) Start using injections.
Option No 1 having such a low success rate is something I leave as a last resort.
Options No 3 we know it works (some times too good) so there is always there.
Option No 2 is interesting. My Total cholesterol has always been on the normal high-end range (~200). LDL in the last 5-6 years have been elevated (between 130-155, max normal being 130) but not much to set an alarm to the Dr. HDL has always been >40 (which is good). So I chatted with my PCP and he feels that statins are really safe and feels comfortable putting me on. So, yesterday I started with Rosuvastatin that's the one shown to be more effective or reversing plaque and helping with endothelial dysfunction and reducing vessel inflammation. So now is a wait and see time with statins. I also hired a personal trainer to bring my weight done and improve my physique. Dr said that high intensity cardio sometimes helps with arterial ED.
My question to the group is about Trimix. Since I had that first (great) experience with trimix I feel like my erections somehow improved. I am more hard in the morning (and super horny for the whole day) still not hard enough for penetration. Do any of you have experience of what I am desrcibing? Is it possible that with time trimix will improve things? Maybe by getting so much blood into the penis and exercising the muscles things improve? What's your experience and comments?
Now I am thinking of going back to the DR and asking to be trained and given an RX for the trimix wonder drug (I just can't get out of my mind the erection I had in the Dr's office).
Thanks
