I see the research Pubmed study showed good results with 5 cialis / 50 viagra. Anyone every try 5/100? FWIW, neither one ever lowers my BP. (Not that I would expect them to, they lower pulmonary BP.)
There is a high probability that your body does not make hepcidin and you are a carrier, or have, C282Y hemochromatosis.
For a basic explanation as to how you would have low ferritin but have or carry hereditary hemochromatosis, see this post on FB...
Once you do a deep dive you discover that it's pretty much EVERYTHING. I summarize findings with studies on my TRT Ferritin Protocol Page. Sorry if you already know this, I have so many guys doing this I lose track of whom I've spoken to.

Thanks for this -- I just added it to the protocol. Days 1 and 2 are especially critical to have an empty stomach. The rest of the time we're just keeping hepcidin up so it's less criticial I would guess.
Random thought: so many of us take Semaglutide and that keeps food in the stomach longer...
If you're on Test, you can't make ferritin because TRT = increased EPO = increased erythroferrone = lowered hepcidin = ferroportin lets iron release from hepatocytes = ferritin doesn't rise. However there's a lot more going on here... In your case, if you are anemic on Test (like for real, an...
I'm curious as to why you're under 14 and on TRT.
Sorry it took me so long to see.
You would need a higher hemoglobin, which you probably guessed.
Raising it would take:
50,000 units vitamin D, 1 gram vitamin C, and one 70mg iron dose all together at 9am every day for between 1 to 2 weeks.
This...
I am really not sure how to explain this meager increase unless your RBCs were in the 4.x range. The protocol leverages our erythrocytosis on TRT so guys with high RBC tend to get good results. I really am not sure whats going on unless you have vitamins or supplements that are killing hepcidin...
You can't. This is a REALLY long explanation, but high ferritin in cases of hemochromatosis happens after years, and I mean decades, of high serum iron because ferroportin lets all of it slip out of cells. Eventually there is so much iron that it has nowhere to go and starts piling up like a...
"My point was that 7 points difference in ferritin labs is not terribly significant"
It's plausible it's testing itself I suppose.
Hypoxia will drive up Hypoxia-inducible Factor 1-alpha which is inflammatory, but it's not the prime mover of hepcidin. But it can contribute. Hypoxia's biggest...
Ferritin raised from inflammation is molecularly identical to ferritin raised from food or iron pills. So that number is always an actual number. Remember that serum ferritin is what is measured, and serum ferritin is efflux from ferritin in hepatocytes.
There are two paths to arrive at making...
