My husband is 42 yo generally healthy man.Two years ago he suddenly lost erection in the middle of the sex and had problems since then. He was diagnosed with hypogonadism and was put on TRT. His symptoms are ED, PE, lack of orgasmic sensation, no libido. Since he had low testosterone level, his diagnosis and prognosis were obvious to his doc. Doc said that he will insert Testopel pills and in short couple of weeks my husband will be as good as a teen. To our horror, he has not only got better, but during first 6 weeks on testopel got worse. He developed insomnia, nightmares, high pulse, anxiety, depression, couple of times he looked like he had a hallucination. Eventually these symptoms subsided, as well as erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. But, he still had no orgasmic sensation and no libido. Out real problems started after testopel wore off (in 3 or so months). We started looking into other ways to deliver testosterone. So, we tried gel, injections of cypionate, propionate, HCG , combinations of the three. He tried different doses, different schedules, he got off of the TRT. He tried all male enhancement herbs and medications. His initial symptoms did not go away, moreover, his ED and PE came back! He visited numerous doctors in different states. He's seen a urologist (3 different ones), endocrinologist (2), age clinic doctor, psychiatrist, sex therapist, he had a brain MRI , penile ultrasound, whole abdomen ultrasound. He's done numerous blood test to find out that his levels of EVERYTHING is right in the middle. His hormones could not look better, cholesterol - normal, blood sugar - norm, he's lost 40 lb since all this started. So, on paper he is in a very good shape, but his sexual function is not.
We are sure that his symptoms are not psychological, although he is depressed (but ho would not in the same situation?), and that all his problems have the same origin. But what is it? If someone has any ideas, please share.
