DRE? I get my PSA checked each blood test with no issues. I'm only 34 and secondary hypo. Mostly concerned with long term scenarios due to TRT at a youngish age. I'm located in Tampa and honestly thought about switching to Defy. How far out are you for initial consults Dr Saya?
No vitamin k for me. I was mostly looking for feedback on DHT direct relationship to prostate or other issues. I've done some reading that says it's a ratio of DHT to other hormones including higher estrogens. Anybody have some in depth knowledge?
I've had some concerns regarding my DHT levels lately. I know most guys here post about DHT related to hair loss, but I could care less about that for the time being. My labs consistently show my DHT as very high, sometimes as much as 150 ng/dl with a range of 30-85 ng/dl for males. My doc...
Your results are a lot like mine. Your high SHBG is keeping your FT low and you LH FSH are low indicating secondary hypo. What are your symptoms? You say all. But specifics?
This is a TRT forum not a steroid forum. If you are worried that you recovered from your cycle, you need to get lab work and post it for commentary. No, that's not normal.
What's your FSH? With LH that low it's not working for you or not a high enough dose. Your E is also very low which will aka you feel like crud. Hopefully your are not taking an AI and if you are, stop.
Pre TRT
TT 430 (295-1100)
Free T 4.4 (8-23)
i was was borderline with high SHBG, high E and all the symptoms except libido. Feel great now.
post TRT
TT 1000 mid week depending on timing and high teens Free T
Same here. My wife was surprised as was I that I had low T. I had all the other symptoms but my libido was great. Other things than T affect libido but not all people are cut from the same clothe too.
If you are only on HCG as a monotherapy then its probably boosting your T and hence the higher DHT. T leads to DHT, I don't think HCG has much to do with it.
PSA was low, .7 I think. Not a concern anyway. The frustrating part is that I feel great otherwise. The therapy brought my energy and mood back to what I thought wasn't possible.
Dr Saya, my DHT level was 154 ng/dl when the upped my progesterone dose. Do you think this high DHT is of concern or would I be better off just stopping the progesterone? I'm not sure I like the idea of taking it. I'm just not sure if high DHT is of concern other than hairloss.
It's ok, your are in good hands here too. I don't post much here because I am too active on other forums. This one seems well handled by the mods. I only come over when I need some expert advice LOL
