Anyone that does strict carnivore, with foods from animals fed their natural diets, and none of the foods being processed, like the pasteurizing/ homogenizing of milk, for example, will always see a decrease in visceral fat, that’s just how the body operates/ reacts when consuming these foods. It’s not a question of if someone will see visceral fat loss, on strict carnivore with the right type of animal foods, it’s a question of how much visceral fat loss they will see. So if he is in fact doing strict carnivore, with the right types of carnivore foods, I don’t see an reason for him to need to lie about something like this

How someone on carnivore for a while, will experience worse side effects from eating crap food, than if they were simply just eating crap foods all the time. It could be a case of when ur eating crap foods, ur not aware of how crappy u feel, and when ur eating strict carnivore, u feel so good, and anytime u feel worse, it’s more pronounced and noticeable.
Seems like this is not just carnivore, but on any diet plan that leaves out crap food, also makes you doubt if so many that thrive on carnivore just thrive due to leaving out crap foods or and foods that they don't tolerate well.
If cheating on carnivore is worse than cheating on other healthy diets, makes you wonder if the gut diversity actually does take a hit on carnivore.

Ya I queued up a bunch of his vids to check out. I’ve heard many times that marathon runners aren’t very healthy, due to the constant state of stress their body is in while running those long distances. Plus, one of the best things u can do for ur overall health, is retain a healthy amount of muscle. A lot of marathon runners look like they have a low amount of muscle, for their frames, which is absolutely not healthy. So it would make sense that he would see a decrease in visceral fat when having people sprint for short distances, vs do steady state cardio for long periods of time. I would assume the chronically elevated cortisol levels in people doing steady state cardio for long periods of time/ long distances, would play a role in retaining excess visceral fat

And part of the reason why people feel so great on the carnivore diet is absolutely due to eliminating all the foods that mess with the human body once ingested. But part of it is also the fact that eating mostly fatty ruminant meat gives people so many micronutrients that are extremely vital to optimal health. And apart from ruminant meat, just all the animal based foods that are considered carnivore, have more vital micronutrients, for optimal health, than most people realize. I continue to be pleasantly surprised, on a regular basis, when I learn new micronutrients, that are in animal based foods, that are absolutely vital to optimal health, and the specific roles each one of them play. It’s honestly so fascinating, and encouraging, to learn about it all. Encouraging because the more u learn, in regards to how to have optimal health, the more empowered and excited u feel, about ur overall health, and life in general. At least for me. It’s like learning cheat codes to how to live a long, healthy and happy life. The more I learn about this stuff, the more excited I get, because I know I’m not only going to be able to be happy and healthy well into old age, and not have to be frail and dependent on others when I’m older, but I also get excited that I don’t have to worry about getting all these unfortunate diseases/ conditions, that a lot of people end up having to deal with at some point in their lives. Such as cancer, arthritis, chronic pain, cardiovascular diseases, dementia/ Alzheimer’s, etc. Obv there’s still a chance I could get cardiovascular disease, if I live long enough. The body eventually gets to a point where it can’t function properly, no matter how good u treat it. But I take solace in knowing that if I do eventually get some form of cardiovascular disease, it won’t be anywhere near the ages that most people get them. I’m thinking maybe sometime after I turn 120 or so lol
 
@Mastodont holy sh*t, this guys stuff is super interesting, in regards to the whole visceral fat stuff. Watched a couple of his vids so far, but the one I’m almost finished has really impressed me. I’ll link it below. Throughout all the years of vigilantly researching about the human body and health/ longevity, I’ve never come across someone that talked about visceral fat even close to as in depth as he does. I love how visceral fat is his main focus, when it comes to health optimization. Obv he’s knowledgeable and an advocate for many other ways to optimize health, but I’ve never seen someone delve so deep into visceral fat research, and have so many visceral fat scans on his patients. After he explains why visceral fat is so important to monitor, and all the reasons it’s detrimental to our health, it makes total sense why he would prioritize it so high, on his totem pole of health. And I also love how into fermented foods he is. Have never seen someone be such an advocate of fermented foods before. Definitely makes me think that I should try to prioritize getting them in more. But thanks for turning me on to this guy. Definitely loving all the knowledge he has to share, and I also love how he’s so altruistic with sharing it all. The guy 100% prioritizes helping people over money, which is extremely rare nowadays. Can’t wait to watch more of his stuff. Thanks again

 
Ya good point. So I’ve tried quite a few different iodine protocols. Always using lugols 2% solution. But I’ve done up to 100mg/ day for a bit, and then 50mg/ day for quite a while. Never observed any noticeable benefits on these dosages, and they’re much much higher than the RDA of iodine, so didn’t like the idea of taking so much, and not seeing anything from it.

I eventually err’d on the side of caution, and used 1 drop of 2% ED for a long time. Most things I’ve read/ heard lead me to believe that a solid protocol for most people would be 1-3 drops of 2% lugols ED. Here’s a couple vids advocating for that dosage. I’ll also link some other vids and Reddit threads worth checking out

One thing that jumped out is that in the 3rd video he talks about how in Japan tons of people get 10-15 mg/day and have great health(compared to the recommended amount of a little more than ONE TENTH of a MG here in America). But like he says, our guideline is based on the minimal amount required to avoid goiters or other issues. Sounds like something that would definitely be worth supplementing with.

Ya iodine is a very interesting compound. The more research u do into it, the more interesting it gets. Like I said, been researching it for years and years. It’s definitely something that u want to be knowledgeable about, and definitely something u want to make sure ur getting enough of
