What were we eating in the 1800s when the obesity rate was 1.2%?
What were we eating in the 1940s when the obesity rate was 6%?
What were we eating in the 1970s when the obesity rate was 13%?
What are we eating now with the obesity rate is 42%?
People often call the carnivore diet, a diet...
I’m going to take the study with a grain of salt!
Marcia Angell, editor of the New England Journal of medicine for 20 years,
Similar conflict of interests and bias exist in virtually every field of medicine, particularly those that rely heavily on drugs and devices. It is simply no longer...
Another clueless endo, very common! All my endo's are no different, all clueless as they receive NO training in this field of medicine!
Most endo's are trained in diabetes and some do thyroid, but very few choose to focus on male sex hormones. In these cases, TRT is the occasional therapy...
I'm on Jatenzo, a newer oral testosterone which has a similar half-life to T cream, 6 hours, testosterone peaks in 2 hours from a trough level of 289 -> 1000 ng/dL. I'm supposed to test at 6 hours after my morning dosage.
If I test at 24 hours, my levels no matter the dosage will always be low...
"Testosterone double the normal range will certainly will lower your lifespan!"
This statement is bu**sh**, another unfounded blanket statement. Individual response to androgens and tolerance varies greatly.
I'm not aware of any placebo controlled trials or studies looking at men with...
Try to imagine, measuring the water height in the ocean as a set of waves are coming in, the water height would constantly change from one moment to the next.
That’s how hormones work, not flat steady values, the hormone levels are always changing.
Now throw in isolated changes in SHBG...
My hemoglobin is now 17.6 down from 19.3 and hematocrit 53% down from 58% three weeks after stopping the iron supplements. I got a phlebotomy today with hemoglobin at 17.6 and feel better afterwards.
I imagine I'm somewhere in the 15 range. I feel better mentally, it feels good!
My erections...
In the majority of cases, SHBG decreases on TRT, except for those with type two diabetes and metabolic disorders.
Your SHBG increased one point, indicating a possible metabolic issue.

There was a study out of Harvard, where there were three groups of men, one group with low normal testosterone another group with mid range testosterone, and the other group with high testosterone.
They were all given aromatase inhibitors and quickly developed lots of body fat, especially in...
My oldest sister woke up with facial hair and her new husband didn’t like it.
She was able to reverse it quickly.
Two of my sisters are morbidly obese so maybe that was part of the problem.
They gave up on hormone therapy.
My two other sisters continue to eat unhealthily, eat large portions...
Your hormone levels are normal and your estrogen levels are normal as well for a person with a total testosterone over 500. The normal ranges for estrogen were derived from men with a total testosterone under 500.
If you’re having side effects from your TRT protocol, simply lower your dose and...
Kaiser used to give me a 12 week supply of Jatenzo, this is no longer case!
I have to refill every 30 days.
This FDA made testosterone a controlled substance to stop athletes from cheating, and not to protect the public!
Heavy metal toxicity will prevent one from feeling the effects of hormones, especially if you have low receptor density. I’m sure there are other medical conditions that will do the same.
If women wait too long after menopause to start hormone therapy, their body has already changed too much and adapted to the low hormone state, making hormone therapy more challenging.
I wish you put in as much effort into your research as you do with your punctuation.
Hong Kong has the world's highest per capita meat consumption in the world and the longest lifespan.
You need to get your facts straight and educate yourself a little bit!
Sorry, but this is wrong, meat...
No you are not in a good range for Free T if we go base purly of the data available. Many experts say that Free T in the bottom 25% is a sign of hypogonadism. Others studies show risk of developing prostate cancer with Free T in the bottom 25%.
Other studies on cardiovascular risk show 550>...
Wow, that's surprising! That's very selfish of her! Sounds like someone giving up on the relationship.
If the situation was reversed and it was the man without any sexual desire, giving up on a relationship, the women with a strong sexual desires, how do you think that would end?
Starting low and going slow has paid off for you, rather than those guys that start out too high and have to deal with the side effects, which is more common than you think.
Things settle at 6-8 weeks, however you can get an idea where things are going at 4 weeks.
Your doctor comes across as inexperienced, and the reality is few doctors truly understand how to manage male hormones.
You always measure at trough or right before your injections.
A change in protocol...
I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but decreasing SHBG yeah isolation will not increase free testosterone. LH stimulation and the testicles response to stimulation is the only thing that will increase free testosterone.
You make the assumption that the binding affinity for SHBG is the same person to person. If you look at individual T receptors, you'll see differences in receptor density and sensitivity.
Dr. Rob Kominiarek also talking about inflammation blocking the effects of testosterone, he talked about by-lipid membrane inflammation blocking the effects on hormones at the receptors.
I never responded to 1-2 weekly injection, even with very high levels at trough!
Dr. Rob Kominiarek said...
I was listening to a podcast of Dr. Rob Kominiarek the other day and he was talking about if someone has toxicity in the body and he gives the a short acting oral testosterone and they don't feel something within 30 minutes, then that person has low receptor density and will never respond to...
Your metabolic health isn't what it used to be, you've spent years with low testosterone, this is why your honeymoon period lasted only a short while. The same thing happened to me, at first everything worked, than it didn't.
Fast forward years later, things are starting to turn themselves...
Well it would seem you want all the benefits of more energy, a strong libido and wellbeing but are you willing to put in the time to improving your health through improving diet and exercise?
If your argument is you're perfectly healthy, then you wouldn't have low testosterone. Low testosterone...
