I am sure. My prescription for Genotropin would cost me $2000/month without insurance. Many people still have to use copay assistance programs to afford it even with insurance.
I take growth hormone. I was born growth hormone deficient. I actually took growth hormone back in the day when it was still human cadaver. I was part of the trials for the synthetic version when hgh was banned. I have been taking it as an adult for 3 years now. It is a huge blessing for people...
I just had some labs done and one thing I find kind of odd. When I am on .5mg of genotropin my levels are around 196 so doc will raise my dose to .6mg and it will shoot up to 336. Seems kind of odd the drastic level changes. Doc is thinking it may be due to no longer having infection in my body...
The daily injections can be a pain in the ass sometimes. The delivery system depends on the brand. I liked the Norditropin delivery but really hate the Genotropin one. Some say the Genotropin mini quicks are easier but my insurance will not cover it. My complaint is to many injections in a week...
I have been on TRT for a few years now. This injection was the last of what I had then a lab test 4 days after injecting. There has been no change in protycol at all. Just all the sudden a crash in T levels
My testosterone without reason suddenly took a huge dive downwards. Without a change in amount taken or any change in protycol such as type of med or injection site. It went from 600 down to 237 suddenly.
If I could get my endocrinologist to run that test I would be excited. For now it has to wait until I get some cash. That's a pretty expensive test. Part of my problem is not hyperthyroidism it is all my levels for thyroid, testosterone and igf-1 tanked for some unknown reason. For example my...
This is from a secondary adrenal insufficiency test. I believe I am low especially in the Base draw which was at 8am. My doc feels I am good to go. I am despirate for answers as I am a single dad with 3 kids who I have full custody over. Honestly I feel as if my health is declining.
Meds so far...
It has been a sore subject for awhile now about my cortisol levels. I think they are to low. Never been over a 10 and as low as 8. About a month ago my health felt as if I hit a brick wall. I was do OK then massive fatigue, sleep disruption, lower back pain and the list goes on. I was diagonsed...
As a hypopituitary person I am struggling with my endo on whether to treat my adrenals or not. She usually starts to consider treating when a persons morning cortisol levels get down to 10 and mine are at 9.6. It is a never ending struggle with these endocrinologists.
I placed an order for oxytocin in the morning and had a tracking number in the afternoon. Also Chelsea Dunning the patient intake coordinator was very helpful and awesome to work with.
Finally quit begging my local doctor and filed out the paperwork for Defy. My endo is not against me trying it, but she has no experience so she was reluctant to prescribe it.
So I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to get a prescription. My endo has no experience with it and my primary refuses to. Quite a few people who are panhypopituitary like me have been able to get prescriptions. They are experiencing lots of improvement in their quality of life...
Got a couple thyroid labs back and something seems weird. My T4 is 2 points below the high normal range but my T3 is 10 points above range. Is it possible I am getting to much T4 meds? Right now the only thyroid meds I take is .1mcg of levothyroxine.
Anybody have experience with oxytocin replacement? My understanding is it is fairly new. I figure with my pituitary problems it may be worth checking out.
