Hi, my clinic (it’s not really a clinic, the guy does all sorts of stuff like Botox, peptides, nad + etc, and not trt i think he has somebody in the background, and they do some blood work) i am hoping to get my bloodwork today, im in the uk by the way so 8 weeks ago he started me on sustanon 125 mg once a week and i posted on here saying i felt terrible on it after persevering for 8 weeks, i told them how i was feeling and that i wanted to try the cyp, i told the guy at the clinic i wanted to start on 75mg twice a week and i had my first dose last tuesday which i thought was 75mg and my second dose yesterday (Friday) and He said he was giving me 100mg and he said he gave me 100mg on tuesday also. I have never taken trt before and im now 56,
The reason i started taking TRT was because i was feeling a bit flat and my libido wasn't like it use to be. I am feeling a lot better already after changing from sust to cyp even though it’s only been s week (i think it was the prop in the sust that wasn’t agreeing with me)
I have a questions on my mind
Am i being realistic expecting my libido and erections to be like it was 10 years ago and if so when should i expect to see improvements as this really was the main reason i wanted to start trt, im being honest
Its annoying because i have been reading on here that i should probably be on 100 to 150 mg a week split to 50 to 75 twice a week which odd what i told him i wanted to start on and now he tells me he has given me 2 lots of 100mg, can i just reduce back down to 75mg twice a week as I’ve only had 2 jabs of cyp after changing to cypionate after being on the 125mg of sustanon for 8 weeks that i wasnt getting on with
Thanks for your help guys
Cheers
Not sure why you are starting another thread here as your questions relate to your opening thread.
The guy treating you is an idiot if he is switching you over to 200 mg T/week split 100 mg twice-weekly.
Such dose is overkill for the majority of men on T therapy.
Rare anyone would even need to venture that high.
No 150 mg T split twice-weekly is still too high off the hop so you need to drop your dose back down to 100 mg split twice-weekly.
You are only a week in which means nothing and seeing as he jacked up your dose you are just getting a quick boost in your peak here.
As I already stated in your previous thread (post #11) the standard starting dose (TC/TE) is 100 mg T/week or better yet 50 mg twice-weekly.
Hi I’m Mark 56 years of age and appreciate bring able to discuss my situation with you experienced people
I started going through divorce in January, 2025 I’m at the end of 2025. I started getting very stressed over it all and was thinking maybe my testosterone levels were low, I have had a super healthy diet for over 20 years now no alcohol no smoking a steak every day eggs every day row Keffer raw milk and so on just to give you a picture of myself and I am low body fat, so I went to a local clinic in the UK to get tested and this was the result picture attached
The clinic I’m using...
This is the standard starting dose across the board by those in the know.
No one needs to be started on >100 mg T/week.
Again the majority of men can easily hit a healthy/high FT injecting 100-150 mg T/week especially when split into more frequent injections.
Always. best to start low and go slow so you can see how your body reacts to testosterone and where said protocol (dose T/injection frequency) has your trough TT and more importantly FT, estradiol, SHBG and critical blood markers RBCs, hemoglobin and hematocrit.
Blood work will be done at the 6 week mark once blood levels have stabilized.
Again there will always be time to increase the dose or throw in hCG if need be.
Going up is much harder then having to come down.
Many are overmedicated on T off the hop or while on therapy and can run into issues in the long-run especially when it comes to libido, erectile function and throw mood in there too!
The body was never meant to be amped up on T 24/7 steady-state!
Its a myth being pushed by all those half-wits, those sheep stinking up the so called mens health/HRT forums brainwashed by that more T is better mentality!
Most of those clinics as in T-mills are no better here.
Throw in those so called gurus too!
Complete S**T SHOW!
No one can tell you how your libido let alone erectile function will be as they are both multi-factorial
and there is much more to the story than simply having healthy hormones.
The main cause of ED is vascular not a deficiency in T.
Yes low-T can tank libido and wreak havoc on erectile function but when it comes to ED T will only improve mild cases.
If you have any underlying vascular dysfunction and suffer from moderate-severe ED all the T in the world would not cure this.
Eventually when you find that happy place you should have a healthy libido and normal erections if all your other health markers/lifestyle are in check!
As I have preached for years on here there is much more to the story when it comes to testosterones impact on libido/erectile function!
*Again having a healthy FT is only one piece of the puzzle as libido let alone ED are multifactorial.
*Getting quality sleep, minimizing stress (physical/mental), following a healthy diet, exercising/staying active, improving overall vascular health will have a far bigger impact than jacking up your trough FT!
*Have realistic expectations especially when it comes to libido and erectile function!
Look over post #3 (eye opener for many!)
