I was diagnosed with sub clinical hypothyroidism around 6 months ago, I was very much symptomatic despite only having a TSH of 3ish and low but in range T3 and T4 levels. I was initially put on NDT (NP thyroid but that did little to change any of my symptoms, doctor put me on Levothyroxine...

Does somebody here managed to deal with elevated Reverse T3 and what was causing it in the first place? FT4 is at the top of the range even can go above if I overdo the selenium, regularly supplementing selenium, zinc, vitamin d etc. FT3 is a bid mediocre(around 2.9-3.3ng/l in range of 2-4.4)...

And what made you take the leap? Classic low TSH/T4 or T3? I see some of you are having reverse T3 measured which I believe isn't standard practice.

How do I measure what the correct dosage of T3 is right for me? Should I slowly increase my dose until my RT3 goes to normal level? Should it be based on TSH? Should it be based on body temperature and pulse rate (I am aware that my resting pulse shouldn't exceed 80 and body temperature 98.6)...

I'm always on the higher side of the shbg range, and my reverse t3 is usually high. I'm wondering if its possible that reverse t3 hormones could raise shbg as the active thyroid do? Can anyone confirm/disagree this based on their labs?
