Tadalafil troche leads to splitting headache?

So I just recently received my updated prescriptions / regime from Defy Medical, and it included tadalafil troches to support erection function while we're dialing in my testosterone / ecg / AI dosages. Last night, I took 1/4 of a 10mg troche sublingual (2.5mg). While I definitely experienced better erectile function, I woke up about 10 hours after the initial dose with one of the worst headaches of my life plus nausea. I've taken 6 advil and some peptobismol today, plus plenty of water, which seems to have mitigated the symptoms.

Looking online, it does appear that headaches and nausea are fairly common with tadalafil. Are they more common on troches than with pill forumlations? Is there anything I can do to mitigate the side effects? Would moving down to 1/8 (1.25mg) mitigate the side effects as well?

Any advice would be appreciated.

When I first started using Cialis, I did get back aches. Eventually the back aches stopped, thank God.

Yes I can vouch for the same: back pains with cialis unless I stick with a very low daily dose. Plus of course some nasal congestion and indigestion with higher doses.

SOmething that helped me when using Tadalafil was only using it when I needed it, having to plan ~8hrs ahead was OK for me, it seemed to take that long for it to take effect but I'd pop a 20mg on Fri night and be reasonably assured performance thru Sun AM. That was after all the daily use stuff I HAD been doing. I know the back pain sides pretty well bit my back is out of whack a bit anyway.

Thanks for all the replies, folks. Seems like the side effects aren't that uncommon at all!

Tried 1.25mg of the troche last night, didn't get the same headache or nausea. Some slight muscle soreness in my back, but nothing too annoying.

I do wonder if troche vs. pill form might have an impact in absorption rates or something similar - has anyone else done both versions?

I have used both and troche from aps seems to take longer. Other things to think about is where your blood pressure is normally. Do you take blood pressure meds?
