A couple of people on this site, including me, were surprised at my testosterone level readings after switching to 30 mg EOD. Icvl had commented that after doing the same thing his took 8 weeks to drop and he was starting to titrate up after that. Mine had been at 1300, then 1200. Now 8 weeks later it's at 820, and the REGULAR estradiol test says 28.4. I took the sensitive test at the same time, but it will take about a week to come back. I felt good when I got this test done. Not great but good. I felt good and sexual responsiveness and erections were good. This blood draw was just this Wednesday 2/24 in my trough.

I felt even better on the blood draw on 2/7. My test level was at 1206 and estradiol on the sensivitive test was at 44.2. I had great morning wood, sex drive was super high, I felt great, and I had sex with the girlfriend with no cialis. Unfortunately, because I had not been feeling good the previous week, I had assumed that my test level had already fallen, and I would titrate up (before I had seen the test results). I injected 40mgs that day. 3 days later I felt that my estrogen had spiked: I was moody, irritable, nipples were VERY sensitive, and I was having trouble maintaining an erection even with cialis which is what typically happens when my estradiol is at 45 or above. So, I took a small amount of arimidex (.12 mg) 3 X over a week to get my E2 down. Each time I took the arimidex I felt better and by the last 3rd dose I was feeling much better. I took the last dose on 2/20.

So, I assume that after my mistake of titration up before actually getting my blood results last time. Now I am at 820. It should be safe to titrate up but much more slowly by maybe 2-4mgs. I feel good at 820, butt I know from past experience that I feel better around 1000.

Vince and Icvl have been very helpful in giving me some advice. I would appreciate any feedback. I feel that I am getting very close to a steady state where I need to be, and I have learned the hard way throughout this process of what not to do.

Houston TX - Speaking of learning the hardway, I had a horrible experience on TRT, got off it for almost 1 year, studied the hell out of the subject (mostly from this site), and got back on HRT with a completely different appoach. Good for you.

for point of reference I shoot 50 EOD and can pull a trough in the 800's but I have low SHBG, in the mid teens, so my T goes up and down, A LOT, over 48hrs.
Best thing for you is you KNOW how you felt at a certain TT, short of a little estrogen control I'd go back to getting your TT (trough) > 1000. You have the right idea with the AI, very small dose, ONLY when you feel you need it. If I was going to titrate up I'd look at 1/10 of a mL, something like that, not go from 30-40mgs, maybe up 5mg. It's not like 40 is going to be BAD, but the 10 (extra) mg's could be a little shock to your system.

HoustonTX, who does your HRT/TRT program??
I've spoken 2 a couple of docs here in Houston. My current doc just put me on 200mgs and had no real guidance. The doc did give me arimidex when my e2 shot up over 70. Hcg was the same story. The good news is that the doc will prescribe what I need. But, the bad news is it's not really much of a TRT/ hrt program! I've been to another well known doc in Houston, and my first visit with him was worse. He wanted to more than double my arimidex when my last blood test just weeks before I came in to see him had me in the 30's. That would tanked my E2. So, I've been adjusting from experience and advice. If I were to switch, I would have a consult with defy and gave myself a timeframe to make this work or switch to defy

Thanks again, Vince... I'll go up slowly and adjust in another 4 weeks depending on how I feel and labs. I agree that I know from reference of past labs on where I feel best. The goal is to reach a steady state (around 1000)with out the use of arimidex. If I have to use some small dose of arimidex every once in a while from e2 building up, then that's ok too.
