Love this forum, thanks! 55yo male 6'3" 218 lbs. I am currently taking Test Cyp. .80ml of 200mg/ml in my glute. 2 times a week along with 1 injections of HCG (.25ml) every other day and arimidex a qtr. tab twice a week. I feel great and my body fat is way down, (10%), muscle has grown 15 lbs in the last 6 months, measured by DEXA. I work out 4 times a week for about 1.5 hours a session. I am in the best physical condition of my life and I am very happy with the way my body looks. Here is my question, my sex drive is very low and has been my whole life. I am happy with 2-4 times a month but my wife of 27 years not so much. She is very supportive and I love her. I really thought the Testosterone would improve my drive, but not much. My erections are better and my stamina is better, and of course my overall heath is better. I sometimes have a hard time climaxing without helping things along manually. I am not too happy about this. My wife is super supportive and just likes the closeness. But now my problem seems to be performance anxiety, not the act itself but finishing to climax for me. Is there a physical issue or a Rx issue or do I need to see a Psych? Or a sex therapist, or... Any advice you could offer would be great. If you recommend a Doc. How do I find a good one? I live in Denver. Thanks for your time in advance. I am very frustrated!

I am assuming that you are not taking any blood pressure meds, antidepressants, statins or other medications that may get in the way of orgasmic function.

I would consider using low dose (5 mg) daily Cialis for a few weeks since this may not only help with blood flow but also with sensitivity.

I am also assuming your HCG dose is 500 IU per injection. Did HCG not help with your ability to orgasm due to improved sensitivity?

Some doctors prescribe Buspar for improving orgasmic function in men taking antidepressants. You may want to talk to your doctor.

This lady is a great sex therapist that you can talk to from Denver:

Jim - Many things can cause your problem.

If you can get a copy of your blood work and post here in this thread complete with ranges Nelson and I will take a look.

Very interested in Estrogen, DHT and Prolactin levels if they were tested.

Like you said, it could just be performance anxiety and there are some things that can help overcome that like more aggressive sex, doing some things you haven't done before that really turn you on and just breaking up the regular sex session with something new like toys to make the session more exciting.

Post your blood work when you can and let's hope they tested for above.

I have the same problem. I can go until I am physically exhausted with the NO Stack combined with liquid Cialis.

However I absolutely cannot orgasm during sex. I have orgasmed several times in the last couple of months from a long BJ. So I know it works manually of course and recently from extended BJs. Very frustrating. Next time I do a Blood test I'll post my marks and concerns in the forum that handles that.

I experience the same or similar, I had to stop my sex act of choice a few times in recent months, just couldn't get there, other times it's a marathon...too hard. Pun intended. I have some erection quality issues but the orgasm transcends that. I use 5-10mg Tadalafil daily.

TRT has been great overall.....but if there is one weak area it is sex. Erection quality hit or miss.....thank god for trimix.....libido mostly good to excellent but there are days where it's nothing. Orgasm quality good mostly but there have been times where just can't get there or it's lack luster at best. Ejaculate volume has been reduced significantly.....about 20% of what it used to be.

Bottom line it's all good but far from perfect fix For most part none of us are as good as we where when we were young

You are right about the fact that we will never be like we were in our 20's, but it feels good to know that you look and feel better than most guys your age. Some of us have gone through medical issues and still manage to overcome and get even better. It's a relative thing. Gladly, we have access to chemistry!

overall TRT has improved my overall health immeasurably. In comparison to most of my piers my overal health appearance etc. is far better. I think many, myself included, expected TRT to give us back our 20 year old sexual prowess. Sadly nothing will really do,that Though trimix can deliver when you really want your A game.

It is an awesome treatment when administered correctly with a great doc. However it is not the fountain of youth but at this point it's as close as I've found

Good points and I would also add that regardless if one eats healthy/exercises/lives a drug free lifestyle that AGING is the main reason why we will never attain the perfect libido/ed function because in our youth our biological/hormonal systems are functioning at peak efficiency and your vascular health is critical to sexual function let alone many other things and unfortunately time/wear and tear eventually get the best of us to one degree or another. We were all blessed with youth for a short time in our lives. The best we can all do is to try to improve upon are overall physical/mental well being and guide others on this wonderful game of life!

I know this is an old thread, but thought I’d add a little bit just Incase it can help anyone out. For the first time in a long time I’m having a hard time orgasming. Erections are fine, libido is on the low side, and usually I can finish within 1-2 minutes from a BJ if I chose to, but just got one that the girl almost had to give up on cuz I just couldn’t finish. I ended up finishing after her doing it for about 20 mins straight, which is a long time. The girl’s jaw was killing her she said lol. I felt bad.

I’m pretty sure my difficulty orgasming is from high E2, or just due to being in the middle of a dosage change (increase). Either way, I know for a fact mine is fixable with simply dialing in my numbers better. I know this because I’ve never had a problem ever with this, and it can’t just be coincidence that it’s happening during a dosage increase. Just wanted to put this out there to show people that at least in my case it’s just a matter of dialing in my numbers again, and your solution could be the same. It could possibly be other psychological issues, like some have said, but my money is in just dialing in your hormones. I don’t think the psychological thing is the answer often. I know myself very well, and I think most guys here know themselves well enough to know whether it’s something they can control or not. In my case it’s never something psychological, when something’s off it’s always been something out of my control, a.k.a. my hormones being out of balance. I think this is probably the case 99.9% of the time with other members if I had to guess. Hormones are more powerful and controlling of our thoughts, emotions, actions, feelings and senses than we can even begin to realize.

When I first started TRT in December, the first 3 weeks were "heaven". I had max erections, was hornier than I've ever been and I could get off 6 times every day, easily. But since those first 3 weeks, it's been all down hill. My libido is nothing like it was, I wake up with rock hard morning wood, and I can get hard initially when starting to play around with the GF, but I always please her first, orally as she obviously loves it, but by the time we're ready to than have sex I'm either not hard, or I lose it shortly after starting and it's virtually impossible to get off. Even by myself, I find it difficult to maintain an erection and getting off is brutal. This absolutely SUCKS. I have a new, hot GF who wants sex daily and I'm failing here and can't figure it out. I've actually had to "fake" orgasm almost every time because I start to lose it inside her and I don't want her feeling bad like she's not "doing it for me". I take 5 - 10 MG's Cialis daily too, and it helps a tiny bit, but not much. I just ordered a peptide 141 Bromalide or what ever it's called. I'm hoping it has a positive effect. I'm going to get blood work done this week week to check my estrogen, Prolactin, and DHT. The fact I am having such difficulty maintaining an erection and reaching orgasm tells me my estrogen or Prolactin must be off the charts. I have some UGL Arimedex 1 MG's tab's, I started taking a half a tab daily, but notice no difference. They could be "bunk" though as they're not pharma grade so who knows if I'm getting any estrogen reduction from these at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm ready to quit TRT but prior to being put on it, I had lots of issues getting even semi-hard, no morning wood. My numbers were 150's for total and free was in the toilet. So I don't know what the heck to do. I'm miserable.

Be careful with the PT-141 also. There is a dose, which varies with the individual, which produces the positive sexual effect (horniness, spontaneous and plump erections) with minimal side effects. Going up in dose increases runny nose, nausea and coughing. However, some find it actually decreases penis sensitivity, which may not be good for someone with orgasm problem.

It was years I was injecting and then started supplementing HCG, for testicular atrophy. The boys came back as well as a level of sensitivity during sex. I was experiencing the same climax issues as mentioned above, and then Bam! I was back. This topic of HCG and related orgasm is on another thread. I find a direct correlation with climax and HCG
