Well you probably want to use your medical insurance but if not and you want the bi or trimix and syringes so you can deside how much works you should call Defy. It might be cheaper than you think. Me and my wife are defy patients. Hopefully you can go to this page I had to log into my Defy account to check trimis price.

Thanks for this. My insurance doesn't pay for anything ED, particularly the drugs. I remember not very long ago paying $25/ PILL FOR Viagra 100mg. The compounding pharmacy my urologist suggested (literally across the street) gave an estimate of $110. Defys a bit cheaper, have to see what shipping is. Even still, once I get the dosage right, the trimix just "wow"ed me.

You know since you (((really))) responded to the trimix what about Bimix it's only 70 bucks.

If you are paying out of pocket for your TRT or ED you really should give Defy a call and just tell them you are price shopping. What will all this cost me?
They will tell you how much everything cost.

Well, I met with the urologist today. Talk about your basic ass... He was all "ok, lets drop your drawers and do this". He hadn't even read the notes about the priapism!! His comments were, well, guess you are back to Viagra. I asked about a smaller dose (initial dose was .15cc ), and he declined.

Half tempted to try a .04 with what I have left (big date on Sunday :) ).. Opinions ?

Defy medical call in the morning..

When the chips are down and you really need people....you find out what people are made of. His response was a childish tantrum, the doctor is supposed to be the "adult in the room" keeping you safe and looking out for your best interests. I do believe in trimix despite this happening to you, and that by going very small at 4 units, .04, and only going up by .01 each time would almost certainly keep you out of the ER. I would also call Defy and get established, and get a injectable phenylephrine vial. You might want to try the .04 tomorrow, so that if that dose seems a little "light", you can try .05 on Sunday.

edit: shake the trimix vial before drawing the shot!

Find another URO that will listen and talk with you. I have gone through 3 and starting on #4. Older#1, Older#2, younger#3 and now #4, older. I have found that the older UROs spend time and listen and talk. Not so much with the younger. Older #1 retired. Older #2 retired then came back then retired then came back and just retired again. GREAT guy. Younger #3 was after #2 retired for a second time. His office forgot to call me back with results from a prostate 3T-MP-MRI!! Then I saw older #2 was back at it and stopped seeing younger #3 and went back to older #2. Retired again :(. I will see his partner (#4) in a week or so. He is also an older URO. Will see how that goes. So bottom line is: Find one YOU can talk with and WHO will listen and interact with you on a positive note. My 2 cents.

Interesting you should say this. I initially contacted this practice for another Uro, that did my vasectomy, but he was booked nearly solid for 3 months. This particular dr., funny, my SO actually had him. She commented on his bedside manner and general jackassness as well. I'll start with Defy now, lets see how that rolls.

From what I've read, its bi-mix. Although, there seems to be some uncertainty about the dosage. I was give 15 units. Many here (without some type of prostate operation, which complicates things), report success as low as 4-5 units. They can also change the potency (as I understand it) of the trimix meds compounding.

Doesn’t sound like a pleasant experience.

Aside from smaller volume of injection, here are also different formulas/concentrations for trimix. Sometimes a less potent concentration is the answer, but starting low with the injection volume is always the safest approach regardless of the product concentration. Worst case scenario is a subpar response and you gradually titrate up from there.

Just an update, for the many helpful folks following this. I decided to work with Defy on my TRT & ED issues. Lab work is in, hope to hear back from them in a little over a week.

As for the Trimix, yes, I really wanted to try a small dose, but have decided to until after the consult. I think, if I had phenylephrine or some way of assuring that I could likely keep out of an ER, I would be ready to try it again, probably at the .04/.05 range.

After learning MORE on this forum (why haven't I found this earlier), I noted that I started off with the Papaverine 30mg/mL, Phentolamine Mesylate 2mg/mL, Prostaglandin E1 20mcg/mL

Finally, I have my initial consult with Defy next Monday. I have been sooo tempted to try a .03-.04 dose, but the fear of ending up in the ER again has stopped me. Can't wait for this appointment, just feel like I might get some answers too.

Actually, that didn't take long at all for your Defy consult. To get an appt. I mean. What doctor are you going with, if I may ask?

First one is with a PA. I've sent some detailed documentation on every supplement, and my TRT/ED history (Wow, been on TRT for 4 years!) . I'll add notes after tomorrow's meeting.

This was an AMAZING experience. Really, for the first time in 5+ years, I felt like someone was getting the BIG Picture. Not saying "Oh this level is low, heres your script, have a nice day". We have a plan to get test injections (saving literally $600/mo for a little pain in the butt ;) ), HCG, and anastrazole ( I think thats the one, help with estridol) . Trimix ordered at the "regular" strength for 5 units. They will review my request for phenylefirine, as they don't usually do that ( fear of over usage of trimix because patient has an "out" )

Best money I may have ever spent

Well, here I go again :( Tried .04 on Monday, had a little bit of fullness. Tried .05 last night, solid erection in 9 min. Had sex. Unfortunately, at hour 7, still that way. Took 120mg sudafed, fast walked a mile, did some stairs in there. Tried poppers, and had it go down to about 70%, thought I was ok. Even fell asleep. Woke with rock solid at 3am. took another 120mg sudafed , and hit the popper again, no luck. Off to the ER again.

The injections were with an autoinjecter (set properly for depth). The solution is about 30 days old, and was swirled for several minutes to ensure mixed. The ONLY real difference (besides dosage) was the side. Both times I've had the priprism, it was injected on left side.

This was a "trial dose", I'll guess only around 30 units total. I'm wondering if the vial they did the draw from, if that wasn't mixed well.

Louie you might as well post yourself on Craigslist and make a little money that thing till you get it figured out. Got to be a Mary Kay or Avon convention somewhere around you.

Looyvillelarry - first, very sorry to hear. For clarification, I know you had your first consultation with my nurse practitioner on Monday...so the trimix you used for these injections you’re referencing were NOT the trimix we ordered from Empower Pharmacy for you correct? (shouldn’t have received it yet based on the timing)

Very sorry to hear this Larry. If anyone had a compelling medical need to have a phenylephrine vial on hand, it would be you.

You are correct :( It was a dumb thing to do, and was my fault totally. Really dumb. :(

This was a result of impatience, and timing. Currently, my partner and I are geographically separated, and only get to see each other about once a month. There are other factors that inspire me to perform as well (mostly mine), that caused this impatience. The Defy Team has been very prompt, responsive, and really provided me one of the best relationships in the medical field so far.
