Clomid success.....kinda

Given my age of 33, Clomid therapy at 12.5mg everyday w/ low dose anastrozole for 40 days was my first option. The lab work with the lower testosterone was my first results after dropping finasteride, supplementing with boron, vitamin D, and DHEA at 25mg. The DHEA makes me sleep like a baby. I love it. As soon as I started Clomid, my sleep quality went down the toilet for some reason. I couldn't remember any of my dreams during these 40 days and I was tossing and turning most nights. My brain fog, libido, motivation, and strength also worsened. I felt drained at work on most days and my motivation for the gym was at an all time low. Have any of you guys been surprisingly impressed by their Clomid bloodwork, but disappointed on how crappy and blah you've felt while taking it?

Most would say that a sensitive E of 17 is too low, closer to 30 could be better, back off the Anastrozole...how much are you taking and how often?

That E of 17 was actually from before the clomid and AI. I'm not super lean, but in decent shape at around 6'1 200 lbs and 12-14% body fat with a balanced diet higher in protein and fiber. I'm not sure if that has much to do with it.

sorry i didn't see the break in between.

E @ 25 might still be in the fringe of being too low. You def responded to clomid as your TT/FT/DHT look solid.

"I'm on 112 mcg of levothyroxine and my last thyroid panel all came back within the ranges. I also feel like my body has been running on the warm side, so I don't think I'm feeling hypo."

"Within range" and "optimal" are 2 completely different results.
You can be "within range" and hosed up beyond all recollection

Thanks for the link. I do realize this since I was always within the wide range for TSH with my PCP's lab results, yet I was feeling sluggish as hell. One night I was watching TV while laying down with my chin towards my chest, and I felt like something was cutting off my windpipe. I started researching subclinical hypothyroidism and then went to a thyroid specialist, and she knew right away before any lab work by just touching my throat. My thyroid was inflamed and my body was producing lots of TSH. She also found a nodule during the sonogram. Over the years, she has steadily increased the dose of synthroid based on my labs to keep TSH around 1 although my last labs haven't been that low. My t4 and t3 free have all been in the high end of the range though.

On 7/17/2017(112 mcg)

TSH: 2.83
T4 free: 1.6
T3 free: 3.2

On 1/9/17 (100mcg)
TSH: 2.29
T4 free: 1.6
T3 free: 3.0

I'm due for my next labs in a little over a week, so we'll have a better idea of what I've currently have

A LOT of information that help.
While the author is NOT a DR, she most likely knows more about thyroid physiology than most DRs.
So well written and so well referenced it shoud be a text in all med schools.....
