Life Extensions - DHEA good or bad ?

I've noticed many here are using Life Extension for Pregnenolone, while on Amazon searching up some Life Extension Pregnenolone to order, I seen they offer DHEA as well. Being their Pregnenolone seems to be up to par, is it wise to assume the DHEA is as well? I currently have been getting my DHEA from Empower, I dont have any troubles with it, but being a Amazon Prime member and the cost of Life Extension meds I could save quite a bit of $ if there is not really much of a difference in quality here.

Just looking for opinions on Life Extension DHEA and Pregnenolone, Thanks!

I also prefer pure brand of the dhea 25mg, I just started using pure brand of Pregnenolone 10mg. Both are micronized.

LEF introduced DHEA to the market in 1982. Owner almost ended up in jail for it, spend millions fighting the FDA over it, and was the first supp company to neat the FDA in court. As a rule, LEF is my go to company for supps. Run my name on their page, you'll see the various articles I have written for their mag.

When I joined Defy a couple years ago they offered to sell me supplements. I told them I wanted to shop around. They recommended if I didn't use their source for supplements then I should use Life Extension since they provide quality products.

Just my luck, I get 2 posts recommending Pure, then 2 for Life Extensions. lol

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll stick with the Pure, and maybe check out Life extensions on my next order.

I'm using Douglas labs micronized DHEA, on sale was a bit cheaper than the others and works as it should... Before taking it, my DHEA-S blood levels were 39.7 ug/dl. Now taking 25mg/day and I'm at 427.1 ug/dl

By increasing your DHEA levels, have you gained any benefits from it?

Yes. Please refer to my Blackhawk's journey thread. Bottom line, the most noticeable effects happened right away when I started taking it. From there, it's just part of the whole protocol along with T cyp, HCG, pregnenelone and Thyroid. At this point hard to differentiate specific benefits from each in the context of the whole protocol.

It's really a non issue. You'll notice no functional differences between DHEA from either of those companies. Don't over think it. As long as it's sourced from quality manufacturers, DHEA is DHEA.

Previous research has found a man's health could benefit from going down on his partner. Women produce hormones like oxytocin and DHEA, which can be transferred from their vaginas to their partners’ mouths, have protective effects against diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

I have used the cheapest DHEA from Puritan's Pride and I'm now using a more expensive micronized brand, honestly, I can't tell the difference.

Been using Life Extensions for years now. One of the few companies that has both good quality and affordable prices. I get the majority of my supplements from them now. The DHEA has my labs topped out.

Will thanks for the background. Do you receive compensation from LEF other than for the articles? Thank you

After reading all this stuff about DHEA maybe my next order would just be Jarrow brand, and I'll stop being so fussy.

I have used MRM brand in the past. Worked well for me.

25mg sublingual from life Extension took my DHEA from 200 to 550 overrange.

So now i cut the pill in half and take 12.5mg per day.

I need to increase AI while on dhea so wondering if benefits outweigh the negatives.

    60mg cyp eod
    .25mg anastrozole ed
    12.5mg DHEA pm
    30/30 Armour
    10mg cialis nightly

Wish i didn’t need so much AI... but this seems to be my best bet.

    There’s always room for improvement...

Does the "ed" mean every day? This seems like a awful lot of Anastrozole!

    Sometimes every Other Day.

    Sometimes every Day.

    Sometimes every 1.5 days.

I’m at the point where i can tell if my e2 is too high... loss of morning wood along with other factors.

    Estrogen fluctuates.

Nothing is perfect but through labs and “feel” i can manage e2.

I’m low shbg. Body processes everything pretty quickly.

The key for me was moving to eod cypionate injections... daily would probably be better.

    We want a steady plane.

    28g 1/2” insulin of course.

I have done some consulting work for them on and off over the years. I know the owner well and hence, LEF and a few other companies I have direct inside knowledge of, I will recommend and or use myself. I pay retail for my LEF products BTW.

I agree, I do use a lot of those supplements and so far they all have been excellent.
