Men with more magnesium in their blood are likely to have a higher amount of free testosterone in their body. Chemical analysts draw this conclusion in an article published in the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis.

Interesting article.
I have HIGH SHBG and just recently started a MAG sup and also started using a TD MAG spray.
Giving the spray 30 days or so and will do some MAG labs and add in SHBG and see if any impact.

can anyone advise which Magnesium supplement is best, I will probably buy via Amazon, is tablet or liquid form better or both same for absorbsion

Mag citrate is a good choice. I use LEF caps.

My personal favorite is Source naturals magnesium malate, I take three tablets twice a day.

On my recent Lab results, my Magnesium RCS is a 6.0 (scaleof 4.2-6.8).
Is this the appropriate test for Magnesium? If so, would it still be beneficial tosupplement with this number? Thank you!

Based on some research that I have done:
1. 2 Mag test, mag, serum and mag, rbc.
2. Mag, serum is not a very good indicator and not recommended.
3. Mag, RBC is more accurate and the one to use.
4. Thought is a significant number of the population are deficient in mag and thus the test ranges are skewed based being developed from a population that is already deficient.
5. Based on #5 one would like their mag to be at top of range or a little higher.
At least that is how I am interpreting the items that I have read.

Magnesium limit is not that easy to find, tables on limits allowed in supplements. Here's Wiki on overdose. It appears that if your kidneys are working correctly, excess magnesium will be flushed, one way or another. I have seen a recommendation to not take more than 350mg at once..
