I guess it depends which country you live in as regulations & guidelines vary from country to country

When I initially started TRT, I started on one 50mg Testo Gel sachet, this was strictly monitored with blood tests including PSA, to ensure that the correct dosage of Testo Gel was administered.

I then went up to 1 & 1/2 sachets continuing regular blood tests and monitoring


From here I went upto 2 sachets and have remained on two.


PSA initially increased (which was expected) and then dropped back down and levelled out at 1.6

I continue to have 3 monthly bloods and PSA varies between 1.1 - 1.6


I find if I have not had gym workout and cycling day before, then PSA is normally 1.1, if I have had heavy workout then it tends to be 1.6

All my bloods have levelled out with 3 monthly checks and they are considering moving to 6 monthly checks due to the consistent readings.

I am located in Scotland, Blood testing & TRT is free on NHS.

A PSA should be captured at the initiation of treatment, at the six month mark, at the one year mark, and then annually.

I get a PSA test every 6 months through Defy, with my testosterone panel.
