Hello again,

Just got partial results back from first blood test after 3 weeks on Testogel 50mg per day -

Testosterone has gone from 8.2 up to 10.34
SHBG from 20 down to 17
Every thing else is normal i`m told(it was a bit of a rushed phone call)

My symptoms remain unchanged - no morning erections, generally pretty flat, absolutely no sexual desire.
I related this to my Doctor and he said to keep taking the testogel and then he would give me my first nebido injection next thursday week(he`s away for a while).I`m happy.

My question is, i have another 5 tubes of testogel left, should i just take them and not buy any more, leaving me 4 days without anything ? Would my testosterone revert back to around 8.2 or am i going to be catatonic without any for 4 days ? It sounds miserly i know but money is a bit of an issue at the moment and i`d rather hang on to a hundred euro if i can.

Many thanks in advance.

Once you stop you have to start all over again...not a good move on your part but I understand the money situation. Two things I see in your post is that three weeks is hardly time to judge any aspect of your treatment, and also, make sure that you're applying the gel in the AM about 1-2hours before you have your blood drawn. This is the correct testing strategy for topical gel use. And also make sure that you do not apply it to the arm that you will have blood drawn from.

Many thanks for your reply Vince.
Well i did wonder if my test levels would continue to rise from it`s now 10.34(from 8.2) as time went on ? or whether that`s the total jump one can expect.i suppose i was informed by the general literature and commentary out there that the gels have limited effect;moving from 1 tube to 1.5 and eventually 2..and in some cases not working at all.I guess it`s all moot now insofar as nebido is the next step..i think this scenario will suit my busy physical work life all the better,i hope so.
yes i can see the logic in what you say about the continuity in taking the testogel.I have read more than once that their are those that supplement the early stages of nebido with a tube of testogel if they are feeling particularly diabolical.i should add i`m not a cowboy and take any advice seriously.
I think i`m going to have to go back to shake out the piggy bank on this one.

Much appreciated,D.

Hey again,

Just back from first nebido shot..i`m glad it`s finally circulating in my bloodstream and not some smear on my shoulders - this is not to smear testogel at all but i got the results back from my last blood test, from the Doctor not the nurse, and it turns out it was 7.3 not 10.34.This was after 3 weeks of testogel and an original count of 8.2 so i can only assume i was shut down after about 2 weeks.Makes sense as i was feeling even more shitty over the last week with lousy sleep and dragging my ass everywhere.
I have a booster in 6 weeks.. this stuff aint cheap -137 euros for the nebido and a very charitable 50 euros for the injection.I guess if i was to double the 7.3,the mood change will be worth every penny..i feel like an anxious chick whose lost the rest of the girl guides..really, if i was to pin point the worst and most debilitating aspect of all this it would be the anxiety;the slightest thing can set off a demented vibrato on steroids and takes an hour or so to subside.I look forward to its rear end with my boot in it.

Onward..

Hey again,

Just wondered whether anyone had issues with nebido in the first weeks - i feel pretty wrecked, sleeping badly and just generally feeling kind of hung over and falling asleep 3 and 4 times a day.Would high E2 or anything else cause this ?

Many thanks,D.

Nebido is notorious for sending estradiol through the roof. Managing elevated e2 while on it is a significant challenge.

Appreciate your reply CoastWatcher.

I`ve been doing some reading around and my symptoms are more like those associated with low E2.
I`m on day 10 so i guess i`m coming down after the initial peak.I have a booster shot coming in 5 weeks so ìll get another blood test then.
I`m in Ireland and it seems they only offer nebido as injectable so i have to get this right.
This lack of energy is a curse.

Thanks again.
Low Estradiol Symptoms:

Fatigue along the lines of sleepiness
hypersomnia (sleeping too much and too often)
strong erections but limited sensitivity
loss of erections
osteoporosis and osteopenia
joint pain, clicking or popping joints
eye fatigue (eyes seem more tired despite adequate sleep, dark circles)
loss of libido (interest in sex)
difficulty retaining water (constant urination)
anxiety, depression, irritability

High Estradiol Symptoms:

Soft erections, inability to maintain an erection
water retention (less frequent urination), leading to excessive sweating, blood pressure spikes or high blood pressure (from the water retention)
insomnia
hot flushing (flushing around the ears or on the face)
night sweats (from estradiol lowering, causing loss of water retention)
bloating; brain fog (like your head’s in a bubble)
testicles seem smaller than usual

Well, the standard estradiol test, though not completely reliable, should be available to you. It would give you a rough idea of where things stand, and for that reason I'd ask for it. I have always found it dicey to try and diagnose e2 levels by "feel," on symptoms alone. Ive been low and was high, once, and the presentation wasn't neat and clean.

Good luck.

Hello again,

I`m at the end of week 4 now and am waking up pretty wrecked every morning, bad sleep, low energy all day. I have a booster shot coming up in two weeks and will ask the Doc to check for high and low E2...but in the meantime,i wonder if i added a tube of testogel to the equation whether it might help ? ..or whether it might make things worse ?

Many thanks,D.

Had the booster shot(nebido) last week at 6 weeks and have been feeling pretty shitty since,in fact, after the first shot i felt pretty good for the first week and then i started to feel pretty bleh, not as bad as now but bleh nonetheless - its as if i have a low grade flu, just dragging my ass everywhere and feeling well below power. Now i have had a few early morning erections but they disappeared after a few days so something is happening at least.I have my bloods being checked on the 18th so will know more then but i wonder has anyone had this kind of shitty feeling before, where you just don`t feel like leaving the house and are really only fit for sitting in a chair for the day ?

Many thanks,D.
