In Need of HCG - Could Use Advice

I keep mentioning to my doctor that I need hcg to rekindle my non-functioning testicles. I am 61 years old, been on TRT for a very long time. To get to the matter, everything has shrunk, testicles, penis. I hardly have any ejaculate and a weak erection. I'm on a lot of medication because of my HIV status as well as for hypertension, depression, etc. I've mentioned hcg to my doc on several occasions and he shakes his head that he "doesn't know much about that". It couldn't hurt to at least try. I don't even know how much hcg costs and I'm pretty sure my Medicare won't cover it. Let's just say I have no life.

About two months ago I began injections of Saizen (hgh) hoping it would help strengthen my skeletal system and it's other benefits. Saizen was what the insurance co. would approve rather than Serostim, which they would not. I really could use some advice.

If you do daily 100 IU HCG it cost about a dollar a day. The best way to get a doctor to let you have it is to go to one that will. Defy has a program to help people with HIV pay for meds. You may want to check that out and see if they can help with HCG. You will still need money to do this and if you can't afford it I would forget it and be happy.

If it's been years there's a good chance you're past the point of no return. Defy has an HCG support program that could benefit you, or it's widely available from overseas which many guys do. if 500iu 3x per week gets you nowhere for 2 or 3 months it may be too late.

You should feel a difference in testicles 2-3 weeks after starting HCG, if not. You need to increase dose.

I felt a difference even sooner. I started off taking about 300iu the day before a T injection and nearly everything increased (sex drive, labs, size and volume). I've since reduced to 250iu e3D.

I believe I can have a rigorous and normal sex drive (again) and I'm going to find a solution. Thank you so much for the information. I believe the money will be well spent, but I do have to be frugal. I've made it this far (30 yrs hiv+), stay in really good shape, the only thing lacking is a hard erection. I think it's doable.

jonathanb, I've found HCG to be affordable, but actually finding the right doctor to get the Rxs you need and getting "leveled off" can take time and $$. The more you read on this site and others, however, will save you a lot of time and $.

Vince Carter is correct in that it may be too late if your system is shut down for so long. I am 52 and it works well for me, but I have been on/off for a decade or so. Can you get daily cialis covered by your insurance?

I would love to they HGH, but there's no way in hell the VA would ever prescribe it and it's way too expensive on it's own.

I still get an erection and can ejaculate semen. So that would indicate that not everything has shut down. Such gloom and doom lol. Thank you so much for the response. I am doing my homework on this, it's just my doc who won't commit to helping me on this issue. I've just got to find someone who knows about these problems. Should I ask for a referral to a urologist?

Being "shut down" has nothing to do with either erection quality or the presence of seminal fluid. Your HPTA axis has been shut down due to the ongoing presence of exogenous testosterone. As a result you no longer produce either LH or FSH, and your testicles have shrunk.

Coastwatcher is correct. The TRT shuts down your LH and FSH. No FSH, no spermatogenesis. No LH = no intratesticular testosterone production = no spermatogenesis.

Well, let's see, so far you guys have given me a lot of hope (sarcasm) I'm waiting for someone to tell me what I should be doing or seeing. My doc is incompetent in these matters. How do I get to a urologist without his referral?

Do you need a referral to see a urologist, I've seen one without a referral. I did check with my insurance before seeing him.

sarcasm or not, we're being very honest with you based on the information you provided and the experience you came here asking for. Erections and seminal fluid have nothing to do with the subject.

Best advice is stop bothering with people that won't help you...Dr and some Urologist. Contact Defy Medical, they have an HCG support program for guys in your situation. Or buy HCG online from overseas, MANY guys do that; "no script needed".

^^^ I was wondering when someone would say that. It's $15 for 5,000 iu bottle & $12 flat rate shipping. Buy 2 or other stuff and makes the shipping cost even better. Then buy your own syringes & bac water online. If you need some direction to this, PM me.
