Why does proviron stop working after a week even on trt?

Hey guys,

Recently I added proviron to my protocol and it was the first time ever since starting trt that I felt dialed in (libido wise), except maybe for the honeymoon period but even then not as good.

It only lasted like 4-5 days and now I am back to square one even though I keep taking it.

I ve taken proviron prior to starting trt and the same thing happened, only this time I was hoping that since I am on trt, it would be sustainable.

I already ordered test cream that I will get in a week. I will apply it on scrotum at a small dose to supplement my injection protocol. Tried many doses, hcg, ai, no ai, but libido and erections aren't good on injections alone.

Does anyone know why the benefits of proviron are transient even on trt?

and if I add the cream which people have reported increased libido, is that usually transient or is it sustainable?

Thanks in advance

I feel the same way when taking proviron. Only lasts a few weeks. Maybe crashed E2? DHT derivatives tend to mask E2 effects and/or decrease E2 numbers.

People who use primobolan/masteron say you should increase your T dosage to offset E2 crash.

Men who abuse testosterone can cause damage to sexual parameters by an excess of hormonal signaling which can mess with neurological pathways and it may take a long time to heal.
I ve only done 2 cycles, from the first I recovered at 6 months. The second one was 600mg for 10 weeks and the problems started during pct.

Is there a blood work or any other test I can do to figure out if there the neurological damage you describe?

All the regular hormone bloodwork comes back optimal, some times a little higher e2 sometimes lower but no effect whatsoever on libido and ed

Don't know for sure but I don't think e2 (high or low) play any role in that. I ve seen my e2 crush, go as high as 85, without much effect on libido or Ed.

It seems it's more like yet another honeymoon phase but I don't understand why I only get honeymoon phases even with scrotal cream but other people find sustainable symptom resolution.

I am running out of things that I can try

Your genetics dictate how much abuse you can take before damage occurs. I have heard other accounts on Peak Testosterone forum from another AAS user in the UK who did one cycle and has had ED for 25 years.

Not even Cialis or Viagra works.

Not that I'm aware of.

Daily cialis or viagra doesn't work for me either but do you think that there is a test or something to check the damage. I've already done a doppler ultrasound on penis which was normal, plus when I change something or add something to my protocol I get libido boost and Ed is temporarily fixed.

If something was damaged would I get that boost?

I had the same issues when first starting Jatenzo a year ago, changing the dosage greatly improved erectile function but only temporarily.

As I've improved my glucose levels, which affect your nerves and blood vessels, things are slowly improving.

You can't rush the healing process.

Well my blood sugar is 87 on blood work, I am 33 years old.
I didn't mean to rush the healing process, I meant that if something was damaged then I wouldn't get the libido and erection boost during the honeymoon

It's called sensory adaptation, you're used to a water temperature of 80° degrees while showering, crank it up to 86° and it's too hot at first, but step into the shower at 86° every day and your body adapts.

That's the exact same thing that's happening when you change your TRT dosage, your body finds a new normal.

If there was a way to force this honeymoon period out a long-term with a compound or drug, you'd fry your circuits out.

This is what you did when you took 600 mg of testosterone per week.

If you haven't tried it already, I'd at least try out a daily protocol and see how you do, maybe you're not injecting frequently enough.

Yeah I know why the honeymoon happens but it wouldn't happen if something was permanently fried. Plus my cycle was 4 years ago.

I haven't tried daily but I was doing M/W/F for a long time. Not much difference from once or twice per week protocols. My shbg is around 35-40 so I don't think I need more frequent injections and wouldn't I get the daily injections benefits from the daily scrotal cream?

Lastly the weird thing is that although my libido stays low after the honeymoon, my muscle gains are insane

The creams are a different beast, the injection are way more steady as the half-life is longer whereas the cream has a short half life.

Your circuits need time to heal. If it was a structural problem with the penis, Viagra and Cialis would most likely work.

The problem is between the penis and the brain.
