After careful deliberation I decided to go with Defy medical for my trt treatment.. I researched them quit a bit over the past few days and feel like I'll be in good hands with them..

I had a call with Peter at Defy to review the program and associated costs both startup and long term..the call went well as he answered all of my questions and concerns. I decided at that point to move forward and signed up..

They already sent me the form to have my blood work done, which I will do next week...They're very busy so I'll have to wait until the third week of January for my consult..oh well..

Same here. Did my bloodwork on Tuesday and waiting on results, before they will make an appointment. .

You've made an excellent decision. I've been with Defy for several years, after exhausting efforts with local docs and urologists that I kicked to the curb because they don't know what they're doing. The folks at Defy know their stuff, and they have the ability to treat more than just HRT. I even got my wife connected with Defy. All I can say is: Giggity-giggity, we're good now by golly!

Consider your blood work as a guideline for treatment. Actual treatment will be custom to you and how you feel while on HRT. Everyone responds in their own unique way, and Defy completely understands this. You'll likely -not- notice changes overnight - it takes time to get everything dialed in.

Quick update: everything is going so well with Defy. I went for my blood work last week.. I got an email from them today that my blood work came in and I can move forward to schedule an appointment with a Doctor. I called today to schedule my appointment unfortunately they are very busy and I can't see anyone until February 1st. So I setup an appointment with Dr. Calkin on Feb 1...
Btw, my blood test report from LabCorp shows I have a total testosterone of 384, free testosterone of 4.5 ( which is considered low)...high shbg of 80.0....psa of 0.7 igf-1 113, estradiol 20.0...

I'll post an update for those that might be thinking about using Defy Medical..

I’ve been with Dr. Caulkins for a few years now. He is a good doctor and works with you to come up with a plan that treats not only the numbers, but your quality of life.

I had an appointment with Dr. Calkins scheduled at the end of the month, but I also asked to be placed on a waitlist. Got the call this morning to bump up my appointment to this Wednesday with a PA.

Well I had my appointment with Defy today..All went well very informative, patient and understanding..

Based on my blood work he prescribed the following protocol:

180mg of test cyp each week broken up into two doses.
Hcg 500ius twice per week
DHEA 25mg at bed time
Anastrozole only take if needed..

I also received a followup call to guide me through the ordering process..

All and all pretty impressed with Defy..

Positive experience with Defy. They are very open to different protocols. One piece of advice is to stay on top of your refills so you get process moving early since it take awhile
Yes, it can take up to 2 weeks to get your refills. Sometimes you have to follow up to push them along. That’s my only criticism with Defy.

For TRT how was the decision made to start you at 180 mg/week of test cyp? Are you wanting enhanced "anabolic" effects or Testosterone Replacement Therapy?

I am curious. Thanks.

Yes that and its easy to underestimate the time it will take for follow-ups - wait for blood test order, get off your ass to get the blood test, wait for results, schedule defy appointment, wait for script, etc. Its just a long process made worse by procrastination!

I'll keep that in mind when the time comes to re-up..

Started my protocol last week. I'm four injections in and so far so good.... One thing I have noticed that's improved quite a bit is my sleep. I used to wake up all hours of the night, generally out of bed by 3am, but now I'm zonked out until 5ish each morning....I'm getting a good 7 to 8 hours of sleep now....one other thing, I have to get used to using these smaller pins they bend so easily. I'm using 27 gauge half inch for my intramuscular injections (delts and thighs), 30 gauge half inch for subq (stomach), 25 gauge one inch for glutes....geesh reading that back to myself I feel like a junkie lmao...still waiting for my libido to pick up, no improvement there yet...I know that will take a few more weeks, so we shall wait and see.

Protocol
Monday morning test cyp 90mg, 500iu hcg
Thursday afternoon test cyp 90mg, 500iu hcg
DHEA 25mg at bedtime each night
Supplements
Fish oil
Cialis 5mg in the morning 5mg at night ( has helped with ED)
Vitiam D3 with vitiam K2
Zinc with copper
B complex
Milk thistle with dandelion root
Mega lycopene
Saw palmetto
