I would like to start a new trimix thread for those of us who are new to the product. After considerable study (basically reading every thread on excel male going back years) I decided to take the plunge but I am doing so in a conservative and thoughtful way. I was torn between differing advice between Nelson, which was don't do it unless you absolutely have to or it will get in your head, and Gene, which was this stuff is amazing even for guys who don't have ED. I had my testosterone mill doctor send an Rx to Empower for a vial of Trimix and a vial of phenylephrine. I have my behind the counter sudafed on hand. I did not do a test injection in office and i do not trust my doctor's knowledge of the subject in any way so I am starting with a lower dose, .05 or five units, instead of the .10 or ten unit dose he prescribed. I figured better to start slow and work my way to the best dose.

I heeded the advice of the men on here and did a trial dose yesterday with no wife around just to see how it would work. Even after reading all the injection instructions I missed on the injection. I injected at 9 o'clock towards the base but got a LOT of resistance on the needle insertion and had to apply pressure to the plunger as it would not depress easily. I put pressure on the injection site as instructed (did not get any bruising) and applied manual stimulation as instructed but only had a normal erection not a prolonged one. It is pretty obvious that I missed.

Could one of the experienced trimix users on the board please provide advice on how the needle is supposed to feel when it is inserted in the correct spot? Are you supposed to feel resistance all the way in or is the needle supposed to slide easier? Should the plunger depress easily or is there resistance? I am using an 8mm 31 gauge needle. I need to know if I should use a longer needle and if I should remove and reinsert when I feel resistance that is strong enough to almost bend the needle.

I use "BD" brand 31 guage x 5/16" syringes. Inserting the needle slowly it easily goes into the skin... it's the next layer of tissue that is a little more difficult to poke through but you must... once I'm through that second layer I bury that short needle all the way in and then push the plunger down. You should not feel any resistance pushing the plunger down. My Trimix script I think is above average in strength at 40/30/1 and with a fresh batch 3 or 4 units(a few drops) has me good to go. I agree that 5 units is much safer starting dose but sounds like the needle was not where it was supposed to be. Do more research and homework on Trimix injections.

I am not sure if you saw the video:

You should try to "expand" the injection spot with two fingers while you inject. That will enable the 29-30 gauge syringe to go in with low resistance. Then squeeze the injection spot and masturbate vigorously.

Empower sent 31 gauge needles with the prescription. They seem awfully fragile for the task. I wonder if they will send 29 gauge if I ask.

31 gauge needles can be used but I prefer them a little wider since I do not want to run the risk of breaking them. You could call Empower and ask for anything in the 27-29 range or go to OTCWholesale.com

Yes you should definitely feel the needle break through into the cavity. If not, you probably aren't getting through the outer layer. I used a 30 ga 1/2 inch needle when I was on trimix. At first it was effective but after a while I developed peyronies and the associated tissue buildup. At that point it was very difficult to push the needle in and usually a 1/2 in. needle was not long enough to reach the cavity.

As Nelson mentioned, it should be very easy to penetrate the skin. Then there is a moderate amount of resistance as you penetrate the outer wall of the cavity and then you feel absolutely no resistance as the needle penetrates into the cavity. If you haven't penetrated deep enough then there can be a lot of resistance to pushing the plunger - especially if you have scar tissue buildup in that area. If you are deep enough the plunger moves almost effortlessly.

Thank you for your feedback Leesto. Could you share your experience with Peyronies? Was there anything you could have done differently to avoid it? I noticed on threads from a few years ago that you were very happy with trimix. Do you still feel the same way about it now?

The BD 31G, 5/16” is perfect for penile shots. I use it with an injector called “Injectease” made by Ambimed and sold on Amazon. I’ve been using a vacuum pump regularly since Having a prostatectomy in 2013 and also use it before injecting. Injections are better when semi erect as the needle is less likely to hit something else beyond the Corpus cavernosa and its membrane is taut. There is no resistance to push the liquid into the corpus since it’s like a sponge. This all makes it so much easier and is foolproof. The rest is all about which formula works best for you and the proper dosage. I’ve tried 3 different Trimix strengths, Bimix as well as Super Bimix. I’ve settled on Trimix at the lowest PG1 strength and use about 0.1ml for about 1-1/2hrs of enjoyment!

stx359 I started to develop peyronies about 6 months after starting trimix. I have no way to know if trimix was causitive or if it was contributory to the peyronies or if it was just coincidental. Eventually I could not get reliable results with trimix due to the excess tissue buildup - so I stopped using it. It was about a 60 degree bend and became quite painful. My NP suggested a penis pump, which I tried. After 2 months of using it (5 or 10 minutes every other day) it is improving. The bend is now 30% to 45% and the associated pain is gone. I was not seeking gains in length or girth, but just as an aside, there has been a very obvious increase in girth and a small but noticeable increase in length.

Another factor in the decision to quit trimix was the fact that I could now get an erection without it. In prior years I could not get an erection even with 4 viagras. By the time I stopped using trimix I was getting nocturnal erections and could even get natural erections without viagra. But I take viagra when my wife is in the mood.

The thing which brought back nocturnal erections and the ability to have natural erections was DHEA. That stuff was like a light switch for me. My NP suggested I try it and 48 hours later BOOM!
