Hi, I've joined the forum to get some advice/opinions. I am on the cusp of moving to another TRT provider. My current provider was overcharging for meds and delivery and the customer service and support was not good. Do you have any recommendations on TRT providers in the UK? I'm about to go to The Mojo Clinic - they have just set up and the owner Sam has helped me out in the past. They are saying they will provide you with meds directly at cost price from the pharmacy (saving of about £10 per Sustanon phial for me!) but you join and pay a £29.99 per month membership for support and discounts etc...Do you think there's a catch, it seems a bit good to be true? Calendesk
Alternatively, I've heard the Leger Clinic are pretty good. They seem really cheap, does anyone know what their service is like? TIA.

I've been around the block with TRT. Finally settled with: The Men's Health Clinic | Testosterone Replacement Therapy Specialists

thanks for the replies. Balance my Hormones is the service I am leaving, in my experience the customer service isn’t the best and they are expensive. I’ve heard mixed things about the mens health clinic and still seems fairly pricey? Any other suggestions? Thanks

I know you are looking for providers in the UK …. Possibly to visit them, but probably more for the prescription ease.

This suggestion is therefore a bit of a “wild card”. In the UK it is not hard to get the required blood tests. It is not that hard to find T etc (British Dragon - ReliableRx etc) but what is more difficult is finding reliable advice about how to modify your protocol as time goes by based on how you feel, blood tests age etc.

My point is the advisor does not need to be in the UK …. The likes of Low T Nation - (Their Videos), this forum or other “overseas” professionals may give you the support you need? Maybe you should consider casting your net further afield?

Please keep us posted as to your progress.

There are several things here that I would like to address. First off, I have been a client of BMH for sometime as with any company, yes, they have had some issues with their customer service. However, in the past 6 months I've seen a dramatic improvement in both their turn around time to reply to my queries as well as their answering the phone when it rings, this was an issue for quite some time. I have spoken with the new Operations Manager and he has informed me that they have had a turnover in staff which obviously for a medium sized company like this doesn't come without headaches. I've known Mike since I started my treatment at BMH and I really feel that he cares about my treatment and has been able to help me through any questions or concerns that I may have had. Also, the other case managers they have are extremely helpful and knowledgeable which is one of the reasons I've stuck with BMH.

Your issues specifically...The Mojo Clinic & cost...Sam actually used to work for BMH and I have viewed his website and to be honest it appears that he has taken alot of ideas from what I can see is the how BMH does it, aside from the prescriptions and membership options. I think as with any new company is anything what it seems to be? You can see all of the TRT clinics in the UK are all fighting for a small market and will do anything to undercut the other to make themselves look better. BMH may be more expensive but do you trust that they have your treatment in their best interest? This for me is more important than cost really, while TRT can be a bit expensive, I'd prefer to ensure that everything that is being done to support me is about me and not about the competitor. I feel like BMH from Day 1 has done nothing but support me on my journey.

In all honesty it depends on what you want, it's like shopping for a new cooker, you can check 2 different places and get 2 different prices but one place does a 3 year warranty free of charge but can only help you on Saturdays between 1000-1500 and the other does a 2 year and charges you an extra £100 but is available 24/7...is that worth the extra £100 to you or do you risk your cooker breaking on Sunday and being without one for a week? You have to research and do what is best for you and for me, yes I pay a bit more than other clinics but I also am paying for a premium service which means all I have to worry about is administering my treatment, BMH does everything else for me.

Anyway, sorry to rant on as this is my first post on here but as was reading saw that this mention BMH which is my preferred clinic so felt that maybe I could help you out. I'd say speak to the Ops Manager and see if they can help you out but if you're not happy and think that moving elsewhere is better suited for you then you have that option too. Me personally, I'd stay because I know they are going to give me the best possible treatment and it's not about the money!

Thank you for your reply and I am genuinely happy that you are having a positive experience with Balance My Hormones. It also sounds brilliant that they have a new Operations Manager onboard who appears to be keen to help you.

I have been with them for 4 years now and you're right Sam did used to work for them. In fact, he was the person I first spoke to about TRT and he helped me tremendously in alleviating any anxieties I had about starting treatment. He was a mainstay during the first year of my treatment and it became very evident to me that here was a very genuine man, on TRT himself, who was impelled to help me as much as he possibly could. I had so many questions about so many aspects of treatment, I was relieved that there was someone like Sam, who was not only readily-available, but also very willing and able to help.

Unfortunately, (or probably fortunately for Sam) he moved up the ladder and there was no-one to take his place. Subsequently, in my experience, whenever I call with a question I am informed, by a very polite individual, that someone will get back to me - alas, they never do. The same is true when I email, however that form of communication is less forth-coming - the email is never acknowledged.

In answer to your question - 'do you trust that they have your treatment in their best interest?' - Yes, yes I do, Sam has launched The Mojo Clinic precisely to provide treatment for men in a way that is actually focused on the person going through the treatment itself. Sam understands that customer support has to be the number one priority when you are providing a service that helps men restore their hormonal system and treatment that they will likely be on for life.

I agree with you that interest in my treatment is the most important factor over and above any costs. What I don't quite understand is how BMH therefore justify a business model that charges me £13 for a phial of Sustanon 250, when it costs £3.50 from a pharmacy.

Through The Mojo Clinic, I will be given the choice of where to buy my testosterone and I will only ever pay the low pharmacy price - this is priceless and very, very transparent. The membership fees are there to provide full customer support and other important information that people on life-long treatment will undoubtedly need as they progress. Even when paying for membership fees, it is still infinitely more cost effective, because my medication is priced fairly, making me massive savings every single month. And when I'm on life-long treatment, believe you me, those months add up.

I hope you don't feel I am being pedantic in any way, I genuinely am not. I am sincerely pleased you are happy with BMH. However, in my experience, they are running an outdated business model, which includes extortionate mark-ups on medication and delivery and that has non-existent customer-support. I am relieved and thrilled that someone like Sam has set up a TRT clinic that is fully customer-focused, fully transparent and one that allows the customer to decide where they buy their medication from, meaning they only pay what that pharmacy charges.

I'm in the "dissatisfied with BMH" camp.

I had a phone meeting with them in early December to ask about reducing my dosage and was told that the doctor would have a response for me within a few days. I'm still waiting. This isn't the first time that I've reached out to them for help and/or advice and been left waiting.

For the prices that they charge for TRT, I think this is unacceptable. With that said, I signed up with another clinic last week and I've already learned much more from them than I did during the 14+ months I was with BMH.

Unlike the US it is not illegal to self administer AAS in the UK. It is only illegal to supply without licence. As such, I get my enanthate from a reputable seller and have never had a problem with quality. Cost me around £20 a month for TRT, including blood tests through medichecks. All the advice I need is on here. Obviously some would foam at the mouth at the thought of not using a legit TRT company but the UK is a total ripoff compared to the US.

Balance My Hormones have a terrible reputation in the UK. Apart from over charging, there's a long standing joke about them on UK forums that if a 12 year old girl walked into their premises to ask for directions, she'd walk out with a prescription for testosterone, hcg and arimidex.....

The UK’s Leger Clinic looks interesting.

They say “all appointments are conducted over the telephone and NOT in person.

When you book an appointment, please make sure you provide a number where you will be available for Dr. Savage, Dr. David, Dr. Tomlinson or Dr. Patel to call you at the time and date you have booked. Please note that for initial appointments, the appointment will last approximately 45 minutes.

As a busy and growing Clinic we have now introduced a new pricing structure to incorporate a special package for those seeking assistance with Testosterone Deficiency, this also falls in line with other Clinics offering similar types of treatment. Leger Clinic have found that our structure is very popular with our patients as the charges are transparent and allow them to plan for their on-going treatment with no hidden surprises. This package includes an initial consultation with one of the doctors who are all specialists in Testosterone Deficiency, along with a follow up appointment and appropriate on-going support.

The professional fees will now be as follows:

Consultations are priced at £195 then a monthly maintenance fee including: provision of private prescriptions, with your permission: writing to your GP as and when appropriate, answering any questions you may have, either by email or phone for only £19 per month. This compares extremely favourably in the Testosterone Clinic market. Please note that this fee also includes a follow-up Specialist Consultation normally priced at £80.

After the first 12 months, this monthly fee reduces to only £14 per month. most other Testosterone Deficiency Clinics do not provide a price reduction after the first year.

Should you wish to pay annually, we are delighted to offer you 2 free months at only £190 for the first full 12 months, saving you £38. Subsequent years would be only £140 per annum saving you £28 per year.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE SPECIAL OFFERS APPLY ONLY FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF TESTOSTERONE DEFICIENCY PATIENTS.

Whats Included

The maintenance professional fee will include:
  • answering emails
  • reviewing blood results
  • writing private prescriptions”

I have now moved to The Mojo Clinic and I'm chuffed to bits.

Here's a run down of their costs and I think the only cheaper option it seems is the Leger Clinic, not sure what their customer support is like.

Doctor's consultation is currently on offer at £79. They offer a mentoring/coaching call after, but I've asked if I can have just the doctor part and they said they include it all as one just to everything set up, meds-wise, asking questions etc...

I don't have to do another blood test until my next annual one as I don't need to start everything again. I may need to do another test if I change protocol with doctor but its only the hormone one which I can get from Medichecks or anywhere.

So for me to start, in summary it's:

£130 blood test Medichecks
£79 consult
That's £209 before meds etc, call it £210.
Then, when on treatment £29.99 monthly service fee. If I want to pay a year up front I get 2 months free which is about £300, instead of £360. Not sure what I'll do yet so worst case is £360.
So £210 plus £360 is £570.
Meds for me is 4 Sustanon phials a month as can split them to store etc..and can get that from Tesco pharmacy or from one they can send prescription to me for and in both cases £3.50 per phial, so that's a total of £14 per month.
14 x 12 is £168 for meds.
So £570 plus £168 is £738 for the first year.
Then following year etc is £168 plus £360, which is £528 a year.
There is a follow up with the doctor annually for me at £79.99 so add that on top to make it £608.
So for me, the first year is £738, then £608 per year after that if my maths is correct.

Big savings for me so I'm happy. As I said, I've heard the Leger Clinic are a bit cheaper, but Mojo are infinitely cheaper than BMH and the others as far as I can tell.
