So I have posted on this board a few times over the last couple weeks. Real quick long story short. 2 Monday’s ago I took a dose of my AI ‘when my doctor told me not to take it anymore, I took it because I thought my e2 was getting high’ anyways fast foward to now. My libido is none existent. A lot of my joints hurt. My emotions feel blunted completely. I feel like a robot almost, and it seems each day it’s getting worse. I am getting labs this Thursday. But I am just wondering can it take awhile for e2 to rebound. A part of me wonders if my e2 is high. But I don’t think it is because I am not emotional at all. My sex drive is so low that even taking a 50mg viagra before sex with my wife it didn’t work. I don’t feel anything down there either. I have bottomed out a few times in the past and that’s why my doc told me to stop the e2. Prior to taking my dose of anastrolze 2 weeks ago. Everything was working perfect. I just felt the smallest thing that maybe my e2 was rising and panicked.

Sorry one more thing. I don’t if this has a factor with what’s going on. But I am super bound up, getting jock itch, my skin is super flaky. Scalp is dry as hell as well.

You're dried out and aren't holding onto water, you're likely urinating constantly because your estrogen is very likely crashed.

It can take weeks to recover from crashing estrogen and longer for joints to recover from estrogen depletion, estrogen is needed for joints and bones. Joints will likely get inflamed as well.

It's so difficult to determine if I'm experiencing high or low E2 sometimes, the symptoms are so similar.

It seems a lot of people on here, say that if your emotions are super high like crying easily over things that it is probably high e2. My emotions are totally blunted right now. And it’s definitely to each is own on how their body reacts. But people say your sex drive is still better then if your e2 is on the higher side then the lower side. My drive is that of an 80 year old man right now. Hell probably worse. Obviously labs will tell the whole story. But I didn’t realize it can take weeks to feel back to normal. I am thinking of adding hcg into my regime. Some people say it does wonders for libido.

Looks like another case of a guy succumbing to some bro science without consulting with his doctor. This is why you don’t treat the numbers. Call your doctor and fess up that you are self medicating. Oh, and let’s not forget that sometimes guys get sad over the littlest thing. Man up and deal with it.

I would have to agree with Mountain Man, you screwed up and now move on. Having low estrogen is definitely worse than having high. So many members blame their symptoms on estrogen, without really knowing what's causing it.

So I guess the bro Science I am referring to is the people who have said that specifically on this website

So is this website full of bro science then?

I meant that it is a standard mistake, and a huge mistake, to assume if someone else had an issue, you will too. You need to read a guy’s post and see if it compares to your situation, but you also need to trust your doctor. You took the AI despite the fact that you stated your doctor said not to. You have a doctor familiar with your case. He told you what to do, but you went for the advice from a bunch of guys on an online forum. Did you even have symptoms? This is what I mean by bro science. Didn’t mean to offend you personally, but why would you take it based on a number, or even a hunch? You even said 2 weeks ago everything was perfect. If it’s perfect it can’t get any better.

No you’re right I agree. I guess I have read other forums as well. And people say that having any sign of high e2 is a bad thing. So I panicked and I am paying for it. My e2 bottom out less then a month ago. And right when it was getting back to normal ‘28’ the following week I thought it was getting high and I panicked
