Feeling good, nothing beyond the normal. I was shocked about that T value. My erections have not been strong for a long time but I resort to Levitra if I have to. I have not had libido for a few months but now it is waking up really good. Glad to hear you are feeling good and your libido is kicking in as many on long-term TTh tend to struggle with such. Hard to believe you are hitting such a high TT/FT from the same dose months later as blood levels would have been stable by the time you had your first set of labs done (May 1). I wonder why T went up so much more. Is there an effect from taking the pregnenolone? The data I have seen in men not on TRT shows no increase in T with pregnenolone. Seems odd that your levels would skyrocket on the same dose and I know that there would be no chance of application site/blood drawn to skew the results as you are well aware of such let alone labs were done almost 24 hrs post application! Oral supplementation with preg will not increase ITT/serum T levels. Pregnenolone is not even on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List..... mind you DHEA is. Pregnenolone--->DHEA. As we know DHEA supplementation has a minimal impact on increasing testosterone in males. *Pregnenolone is often referred to as the grandparent precursor to the other steroid hormones. Pregnenolone is primarily synthesized from cholesterol in the mitochondria of the adrenal glands. Pregnenolone is also made to a lesser extent in the brain, liver, skin, testes, and ovaries. Once synthesized, pregnenolone may be converted to DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) or to progesterone. DHEA serves as a precursor compound to the androgens and the estrogens through androstenedione as the intermediate compound. Progesterone is the precursor to cortisol, aldosterone, androstenedione, estrogen, and testosterone. Pregnenolone has many actions of its own not attributable to its conversion to progesterone or to DHEA. Pregnenolone is important for the function of the brain, nervous tissue, liver, pancreas, reproductive tissues, pituitary, and skin. Pregnenolone is found in higher concentrations in the central nervous system compared to the peripheral tissues which may reflect its importance in brain function. As with many hormones, pregnenolone production declines with age. It is estimated that pregnenolone production is about 60% less at age 75 than at age 35. Pregnenolone levels may also decline under various conditions of physiological stress, such as acute and chronic infections and trauma. Hematocrit sitting at 52.5. I am not going to donate blood. My ferritin is still sitting at 33 even after iron supplementation (with Vit C 1000 mg) for a month before the blood draw. Smart move and I would be more concerned with ferritin. What form of supplemental iron are you currently using and have you tried any others? My cognitive function is definitely better on 100 mg per night of pregnenolone for 3 weeks (no hCG). I am more motivated to finish tasks. I had been in a low mood for the previous 3 months even though life was good. I even stopped participating on ExcelMale. I also started trintellix low dose last week (5 mg qd) since my doctor likes it for low grade depression. That has definitely boosted my mood and libido for sure. Debating now if I should bring back hCG 500 IU twice per week to add it to the pregnenolone and hydrogel testosterone cream. I bet that will make me a little too horned up for my own good. :) At least you are experiencing some improvements with the addition of pregnenolone 3 weeks in let alone you are looking into upping your dose to see if you can achieve optimal levels. Only time will tell if it enhances your overall well-being. As we both very well know mood is a powerful driver when it comes to libido. The main goal when using hCG is to restore physiological ITT levels which are critical when it comes to preserving/maintaining fertility and preventing/minimizing testicular atrophy. Still waiting for my progesterone LC/MS results. It takes a while like ultrasensitive estradiol does. Will be interesting to see! Even after 30 years, I am still learning. The upstream hormone story is getting stronger, I think. Shut down HPG axis, upstream hormones, the sensitivity of the AR, polymorphism of the AR/CAG repeat length (short/long), SHBG: T binding.
