What is your dose now? Is it still helping your libido?
Now I am only on test E. It was impossible to manage e2 level with e2 enanthat. When I add injectable e2 to my trt protocol, e2 level drops first and that start increase, but it is hard to handle that.. Definitaly something is wrong with me/ with my receptor.. Nobody can answer me.. everytime my e2 sit to different level with the same protocol.
For example few month ago oral DHEA increased my e2 a little, now it decreases it.. (the same vial of test and the same package of DHEA..) now I am about quit trt..

I’ll add to this thread. If you look at my original post from 2017, I foolishly took arimistane, an OTC AI without ever taking TRT, steroids, etc. It caused an E2 crash with chronic symptoms such as fatigue, low libido, etc.

Three weeks ago, I started test cream with Defy. Here were my numbers prior to starting:

TT: 450
FT: 10.6 ng/dL
E2: 21 (sensitive)
SHBG: 22

The test cream felt pretty damn good the first two weeks! I had way more libido, felt much stronger in the weight room, and had better emotions. Today I feel like garbage. It is day 20 of test cream. I’ve been sleeping terribly the last week. I feel like I have low E2 today. I have joint ache, fatigue, loss of motivation, and there is not a Boner in sight. I also feel like I’m getting sick, so perhaps I am just sick. Covid test was negative.

I’m scared I worsened my condition with my trial of test cream. I have a feeling this condition is all due to receptor loss of function in some form or another. If test cream doesn’t work, I may try out testosterone injections with HCG. I may also just come off of everything.

Hi guys, just thought I’d jump in as I’m going through the exact same issue. Basically I’m 33 and came off TRT in December to have a child… GREAT success, it worked. I used a typical approach of HCG, Nolva, Clomid.

But now I want to try and pursue the natural route. Just got my bloods done which obviously doesn't make for great reading. The concerning thing is my SHBG and oestradiol readings, which is crushing my libido, probably lowering my testosterone, causing a strain on my relationship. Any ideas?

I’m not sure getting back on TRT is the simple answer as I’ve always had low E2.

I’m getting in trt to raise my estradiol levels as they sit at a third of where they used to

28 this year. Body fat around 14% (I can see my abs if I squint hard enough under good lighting lol). Libido and EQ are at least a solid 8/10 on most days, 9/10 if I go a few days without any action. My TRT dose is on the higher side though. We don't have the proper tests for FT and E2 here but my TT is 1200.

Before estradiol it was more like 3/10. I needed cialis to get it up and even then I would sometimes not be able to sustain an erection during sex. Increasing T dose did not help. Joint pains and anxiety. It was hell for a couple of years - stay away from aromasin unless you really know what you're doing, guys.
Do you think a small dose of valerate once a week would shut down natural production of testosterone in someone who’s not on trt? Edit: specifically somewhere around .33mg per week? I can only find 1 mg valerate and can cut that into 3rds.

A lot of the symptoms you are describing are similar to mine. Honestly, i've been on 50mg Clomid now for awhile with my TRT to fix the low e2 sides and it has helped tremendously. I am still not the old me, but the hot flashes have assuaged and im actually sweating in the gym again. My sleep has also been phenomenal. I still am weaker in the gym though and don't really have that motivation like I used to. The Clomid is also making me more lethargic and moody at times. I am considering stopping TRT for a few weeks and continuing on with the clomid. I had a buddy who could only fix his crashed e2 after years like us when he came off for 6 weeks and started over with TIW injections.
How are you now? Any update?

It’s a little early to tell, but I’m now doing much better. 1mg oral valerate dissolved sublingually under the tongue per day and 125mg test cyp once per week. My bones and joints aren’t aching anymore and I’m waking up with strong morning wood and experiencing sensation again.

What about libido?

It’s been a little better. It still fluctuates but it’s a little stronger. I’ve only been on the estrogen for a week now. Expecting more improvements with time.

Update:

New regimen:
100mg test cyp every 3 days
0.5mg estrogen valerate every 12 hours (sublingual)
I use a pill cutter
125mg test dosage once per week was leaving me with worse symptoms by end of week.

Hey everyone - I'm dealing with the same issues. Here's my story:

Despite having low SHBG and needing sub 100mg/week doses of testosterone, I foolishly increased my testosterone cyp intake too much and then crashed e2 to undetectable levels for a few weeks through indiscriminate AI use back in April 2021. I had almost all the issues listed by others barring libido problems. Though a lot of symptoms improved leading up to Dec 2021, I hit a plateau and decided to try a clomid restart but had to stop in just 2 weeks due to vision issues and dead libido. Strangely, I got the same crashed e2 feeling for a few nights after I restarted my injections and a lot of my old problems such as sensitivity to phytoestrogenic foods (soy flax etc) resurfaced. I would also experience a dead libido, mood swings and hair changes each time I ate these phytoestrogenic foods.

However, a lot of my symptoms improved considerably between Jan 2022 and Dec 2022. I slowly regained my lost confidence and started seeing glimpses of my former self again! Temporarily switching to a different ester/concentration of testosterone for a month in Sept 2022 affected my libido and caused some of the symptoms to relapse for some reason, but things became fine again once I got back on my old ester. So much so that I actually experienced high e2 symptoms (such as facial acne and bloating) after an eternity this year in March!

In place of AI, I decided to reduce my dose to control the high e2 symptoms (went from 100 to 70mg/week) for a couple of weeks but that didn't change anything. Out of desperation, I reduced it to 60 for a couple of weeks but that affected my libido. I raised my dose to ~85mg in mid April but for some reason my libido didn't return. My high e2 symptoms gradually disappeared, as did my happy mood. I started experiencing insomnia, anhedonia (lost interest in my hobbies/music/TV/movies etc) and became a recluse. My hair which had considerably recovered since the initial crash became dry and rough again. Last week, I experienced a similar "crash" like back in 2021/early 2022 with severe anxiety/panic attacks/derealization for a few days DESPITE NOT BEING ON ANY AI FOR OVER 2 YEARS. Things have improved over this week but my libido is still gone, my mood is still sullen, everything feels like a chore and I'm barely sleeping 3-4 hours each night. I'm awaiting lab work but I'm certain things will show up fine.

Really unsure what triggered this and not sure how to proceed from here. Part of me wants to continue the current protocol hoping I'll be back to how I was feeling a few weeks ago soon enough since I haven't really taken any AI, but part of me just doesn't see the ROI of TRT anymore. I'm wondering if a hard reset of my HPTA is the answer, but scared of trying SERMs since they block e2. Thoughts?
