If your estrogen is high, you'd feel off
Likewise if it's low.
Numbers come after how you feel. I know when my estrogen is high, i feel emotional and like westersn say, a lil bitchh lol! For me, low shbg guy, I need low 20s estradiol for T levels of 500-700

Doctors that try to fit same shoe size on everyone are no good, TRT is a game of trial and error
My estrogen was a bit above range. I didn't feel anything good or bad. My doctor put me on a low dose AI (0.25mg x2 week) and it crashed my estrogen. I didn't feel bad with crashed estrogen either but I know that it also isn't good for me. I guess I need to choose between having an irritated prostate or having low bone density but estrogen doesn't seem to affect me in any way that I can feel (which is probably uncommon).

My PSA is in range but a bit high for a 47 year old (1.7) so I think that is why he wanted to avoid irritating it. After the labs showed it crashed, he took me off the AI because he said he'd rather it be too high than too low.

That's a big dose, drop it to .0625 to two times a week. That will bring you in range

But injecting testosterone is natural? Even if you are using a small amount to boost your levels to a healthy range, you are interfering with nature. You are supplying your body with exogenous testosterone which doesn’t mimic a natural release pattern very well and which suppresses your own production of T, LH, FSH which in itself causes a whole cascade of changes.
I’m not saying you can‘t feel better using an AI, but your reasoning is flawed. If you are on TRT, you can‘t assume everything else is supposed to align with what ‘exists in nature’.
I don’t believe the rationale is flawed. The goal of taking any hormone is to mimic what we had when we were in our prime. Yes, testosterone is not “natural” but we aim for natural healthy levels. E2 above 50 does not exist in a 25 year old man unless he is estrogen dominant. It would be like taking thyroid medication and having a T3 score 2-3 times higher than the reference range and saying thats ok because taking thyroid medication isn’t natural either. This is just my personal opinion. A lot guys seem to do great with uncontrolled E2. I just hate the deomonization of E2 because a few internet docs and YouTube TRT channels all of a sudden said it’s the worst thing you can do is suppress estroge. My Uro who is a very progressive TRT specialist feels the same way, that we don’t know the long term effect of having very high E2 so better to keep it in a moderate range.
