Low Estradiol Symptoms:
  • Fatigue along the lines of sleepiness
  • hypersomnia (sleeping too much and too often)
  • strong erections but limited sensitivity
  • loss of erections
  • osteoporosis and osteopenia
  • joint pain, clicking or popping joints
  • eye fatigue (eyes seem more tired despite adequate sleep, dark circles)
  • loss of libido (interest in sex)
  • difficulty retaining water (constant urination)
  • anxiety, depression, irritability
High Estradiol Symptoms:
  • Soft erections, inability to maintain an erection
  • water retention (less frequent urination), leading to excessive sweating, blood pressure spikes or high blood pressure (from the water retention)
  • insomnia
  • hot flushing (flushing around the ears or on the face)
  • night sweats (from estradiol lowering, causing loss of water retention)
  • bloating; brain fog (like your head’s in a bubble)
  • testicles seem smaller than usual

I have symptoms for both after messing up with arimidex. More low e2 than high but labs are normal which is the most frustrating part.
stay off the arimidex and ride it out on a low testosterone dose you should be ok. coming off could be an option but it depends on your age and situation.

For me there is more ambiguity in symptoms between high and low compared to this list, with a couple exceptions.

For myself:

Low Estradiol Symptoms:
Anxiety, depression, irritability
Hot flashes, nighttime overheating
joint pain, clicking or popping joints

High Estradiol Symptoms:
Irritability, Irascibility, Dramatic mood swings, anxiety, depression,
Water retention/bloating/High BP (also related to high HCT): Symptoms w/exertion: SOB, Abnormal sensation of heart pounding in chest at lower exercise threshold
Feeling flushed/warm, especially nighttime overheating

Effect of TRT shutting down LH/testicular stimulation of Leydig cells:
Testicles ARE smaller than prior to TRT, retract higher/tighter, even painfully especially with sex/orgasm, even with HCG

Good morning guys hope all is well I see you guys are talking about E2 high and low actually I've been talking to one of the guys who is good at this stuff and very knolegable damm my E2 was very high when I got the my blood test about 3 weeks ago it was like 51 that was the estrogen-sensitive also the total was sky high!! So what I did I'm not on any Arimidex or HCG cuz I restarted the T in February and my symptoms were fine but like I said I just got these blood test so what I did is a few guys on here and other sites said maybe lower your testosterone injections per week so that's what I did I cut it in half in Two injections per week in the last 3 weeks and I feel a hundred times better but it may still be high cuz I have some of these symptoms still he suggested that maybe I should take just a little piece of Arimidex twice a week I know it's .25 maybe take a quarter of the .25 few times a week maybe that would help but I'm feeling better since I lowered my testosterone shots so I'm not sure also I've been fighting with low ferritin for probably 5 months now it has raised it was it started out months ago at 10 then after 3 months it went to 22 and then another 3 months later taking the iron supplements doubling up on them it went up to 42 recently I just got tested so I'm not sure my iron is still low the actual numbers so not sure what to do any other advice or input please chime in anybody thank you
