Help keeping e2 up

Hey guys looking for a little discussion here. Been on different forms of TRT for a little over 2 years now. Struggled constantly with headaches on injectables, emotional on clomid (however felt great the first two weeks, which i think was the increase in e2) and finally settled on scrotal compounded cream. I was able to keep my e2 up and felt great. However I also started to struggle with ED which I believe is due to my chronic pelvic pain. So my Dr. prescribed 5mg of cialis daily. Made my ED and pelvic symptoms all but dissapear, but then I found out of course it lowers e2 which ive learned i am extremely sensitive to anything that lowers e2. I really want to stay on cialis but ive got to find ways to keep my e2 up.

Last labs were
T- 872
E- 15 LC/MS
SHBG- 28

I am going to the doctor next week and wanted some opinions on a strategy. I have started cheap DHEA in the mean time. I was thinking A. try and get him to prescribe HCG, (also did HCG cost go up due to the new regulations?) I am not sure if he is familiar with it so I may have to look elsewhere if I cant convice him. Or B ask for low dose clomid just for the estrogenic effects. Anybody else have any suggestions or which one of those two options seems better?

Thanks!

Ya I think HCG would be a good option. You can always get it from places like reliablerx.com. It’s legit pharma grade HCG. And super cheap. I’ve tried it. 1000iu’s per week bumped my E2 up around 10 points. I used Safasi brand of HCG.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will attempt with the Dr. on Tuesday and if not try and source hCG elsewhere or start looking for a new Dr. I know Defy is great so I'll probably head that direction if Dr. wont prescribe. Gman how long does reliablerx usually take to receive? Is it from overseas?

MH, Scrotal application is known for increasing DHT which can supposedly lower E2... I'm no expert but have read that here. Not sure if it is because both E2 and DHT are made by converting T .... so i guess more to DHT means less to E2? Hopefully a more knowledgable member will confirm or correct this.

This is the question where id like to also know a answer, does clomid increase E2 while on trt??? Anybody tried it? Im maybe giving a try, because been desperately trying to increase my chronic low e2 symptoms. And that one option i havent been tried yet.

I’m not sure honestly, there seems to be ancedotal reports that clomid does somewhat work when on TRT but the science doesn’t seem to support it. It’s worth a try for you I would say. Have you tried high doses of HCG like 500iu 3 times a week?

I know it doesn’t make a ton of sense but it absolutely is. I don’t have lab work for some of it but over the last six months anytime I take it for a couple days in a row I end up with major sore joints, fatigue and all the EXACT symptoms I had when I crashed my e2 years ago with arimidex.

Ya the stuff comes from legit pharmacies in India from my understanding. My last order took around 3 weeks I think

There must be a reason but why doesn't anyone take exogenous Estradiol when they feel like their estrogen is too low? I mean if it was too low wouldn't that immediately fix the problem without having to worry about things like DHEA converting. Heck, you can buy the stuff on Amazon.

It is a viable solution for increasing systemic levels while on TRT. I've done it. There are some uncertainties about doing this long-term. You're not creating the extra estradiol in the aromatase-containing tissues the way nature intended, so it may not be ideal.

The answer is "No", with caveats. For most, Clomid does not overcome negative feedback from testosterone at the hypothalamus. This means no LH to stimulate extra testosterone along with intratesticular aromatization. However, the zuclomiphene isomer of Clomid is estrogenic itself. This means it will activate some estrogen receptors, allowing it to do some of the same things estradiol does, such as increasing SHBG and improving bone density.

How to raise estradiol

Taking DHEA and hCG should really help.

I agree that scrotal cream will increase DHT and lower E2.
Nelson I know this is an old thread but I’m still battling with this your comment finally made me realize that’s the issue. The high DHT is suppressing e2 and very little of my testosterone is converting to e2. I’m going to try adding HCG when it gets here. What are your thoughts on saw palmetto? I know it’s usually a no go but in a situation here where I know I’m pushing my DHT super high I wonder if it would help some of that convert to e2.

If you're happy with the levels of all hormones except E2, there's a much easier fix. Instead of trying to manipulate conversion, just buy some estradiol cream from Amazon. A small amount should easily raise your E2 levels, without added complications.

Can you give me a link of the estradiol cream your talking about?

Obviously I’d need to experiment but how much do you think to start with.
On Amazon...search for "Bio Labs Pro Estrogen". They have a Bi-est cream with estriol and estradiol. An even better place is probably us.onasnatural.com which has a higher concentration of 1mg estradiol per pump in their estrogen cream.

I only used it for 2-3 days at a time, when I overdid anastrozole. I never had to worry about long-term dosing, as I only used it to fix the immediate issue. I couldn't give advice on how much to use for your intended purpose, especially since transdermal absorbtion can vary so much between individuals. You'd have to use the tried and true start low, go slow, analyze labs and monitor any symptoms.
