Doxazosin restored my morning erections

You can def try and stack them. The yohimbine can bring your bp back up a bit while still blocking the receptors. In my case yohimbine boosted my libido but would give me tight sac and quickly fading erections because it raises norepinephrine (too much flight...).

Ultimate Adrenergic Control of Erections

That's a great thread with a lot of ideas for guys to try out. I went thru most of them over the years after reading it (tried all the alpha blockers). However I ended up simply keeping blood sugar/insulin very low, fasting daily and taking vasodilating compounds like berberine/metformin. I still use cialias daily at 5mg too for the NO boost (and l-cit).

Rone, first of all, thank you for posting that old thread, I thought it was gone forever!! I did learn a BUNCH from reading it, some of the stuff many of them were doing towards the end of that long thread I would NEVER do, but most of it was pretty thoughtful and helpful. The guy that founded that thread, " Tierry " seemed to take pretty big amounts of this or that, I've taken much less.

And yes, Yohimbine HCL from Amazon does raise my BP. The that effect does last for about 24 hours as well.

I didn't have any severe side effects from taking the alpha blocker alfusin from ReliableRX, it did add further to the nose stuffing effect, and heart rate picked up a little. No negative mental effects. The Flomax (tamsulosin) from ReliableRX worked at least as well (for date night purposes I mean), but I did experience lessened ejaculation on one tablet, and total retrograde ejaculation on two tablets. It wasn't a bad thing per say, just kinda strange. Not painful though.

So doxazosin+ cialis+yohimbe could be a good little stack.

I've been taking the alpha-1 blocker, Alfusin, because ReliableRX has it stocked, they never seem to have Doxazosin ever. I've also had just as good results, perhaps better, with Tamsulosin, but the retro-grade stuff is weird.
As per an earlier post of mine, I could not tolerate the side effect of pounding heartbeat I got from doxazosin. I am on tamsulosin now. No pounding heartbeat, good effect on erections and libido.

Am I correct that your observation was that tamsulosin was indeed superior to alfuzosin for improving libido and erections but in your case caused retrograde ejaculation that alfuzosin did not? Please provide any additional detail you are comfortable with.

My doc stated that flomax usually is a 50/50 chance of causing retrograde ejac. Evidently it has the strongest effect on urinary alpha receptors of any drug in its class

Yes, I do believe Tamsulosin did work better than Alfuzosin. The retrograde ejaculation was not a deal breaker, and actually did not bother me that much. Still worth it for date night success.

What your doctor says sounds reasonable, and the same as what I personally experienced. The retrograde stuff was not bad, just a little strange.

I wonder why Tamsulosin carries the side effect of lower libido? I would be also curious if retrograde ejac makes you prone to UTI.

I didn't experience any lower libido on Tamsulosin at all, I have zero issues with libido, only ED. As far as UTI's...typically in women UTI's are caused by e-coli (poo, basically, fecal), and urine is pretty much a sterile medium. But the trip from the semen to the bladder is a one way trip, it's not in reverse.

Has anyone tried alpha yohimbine in place of yohimbine hcl? You may be able to get the wanted benefits, but the sides are not as brutal for those that are prone to them.
