Is this true for some people? If it is true what is the mechanism of action? Does Test get some people too riled up and they can't relax enough to get an erection?

There’s one guy, that told me. He was spending a weekend with his girlfriend and wanted to have a good time. So he doubled his dose of testosterone. He couldn’t get hard all weekend.

Probably gh / out of range e2. On standard nobody should have a problem till exced 200mg - 300mg so the problem could be a loss of hardness of erection or anxiety to prone ones.

I'm my case at 100mg cypionate, I'm just horny but I need Viagra for a real hard erection. But @ 180 Mg per wk It stays half-hard A lot and slick as an Ell. And I'm 75, It also makes a Big difference at the Gym. I recover quickly for my age.

Whoa, 75? Cool! Any negatives or health problems? It's good to see older guys doing well with hormones.

I can tell you the same is true for me: If I increase my dose to where my total T is over 1000 on a regular basis, my erections suck. I have fairly normal SHBG (32-34) and my E2 is in the 35 range when that high. Not sure what the mechanism, but I found out a few years ago too high is not good for me! 550 -800 is my sweet spot.

good to know! I actually just shot 180mg n a half hearted attempted to try weekly injections before I give up on TRT. The injection was 3 days ago. I am telling you, Pamela Anderson in her prime could come in here and start giving me oral sex and nothing would happen. 100 percent limp noodle.

But I am super amped up. Almost like speed. Last night I had to take 2 sleeping pills to calm down to sleep.

So thank you guys for your andecdotes as well.

Why are you still dead set on using higher doses let alone once weekly?

As I stated in previous threads you were hitting a TROUGH TT 1200-1300 on your previous protocol 180 mg/week (90 mg every 3.5 days) and I bet your FT was really high but we have no idea because you never had it tested using an accurate assay.

Once I hit 180mg per week, adding more never made my erections worse...as long as I kept my E2 in a tight range. Then again, any time my E2 goes out of that tight range everything goes to crap. For many others that's not the case at all, and there are other factors that influence erection quality that may change with a higher mg dose.

I can corroborate with all the guys saying that T too high is bad for erections. I've attached my latest labs and, while I can get an erection, I have an almost impossible time keeping an erection with my T this high. I've been injecting 40mg (0.2ml) shallow IM EOD for the past 8 weeks prior to these labs. I'm going to back down to 40mg twice a week for a bit to see if erections improve.

I would be much more concerned with low-t and libido/erectile function than worrying about
high FT.

When it comes to libido/erectile function there is much more involved than simply having healthy testosterone levels.

I know you're right, man. I'm just so lost in the woods. I am a posterboy recently of what not to do. Constantly changing things. I need to get a hold of myself because there is abit of panic involved at the moment and my desperation is making things worse. The good news is that I went back to work yesterday after a 6 month quarantine so now I'll have things to keep me busy and on track.

Back when I was abusing Enanthate, my total test would be over 3,000, and I never had an issue. In fact, I had the opposite problem. It varies from man to man. Then again, I've been within range on Cypionate and had issues. Go figure. Sooner or later, every man has an issue getting an erection. It could be stress, lack of sleep, over exercising, or a variety of other factors. What kills it after that is when you ruminate on it constantly and turn it into a psychological problem. Honestly, I see guys get so involved with numbers, making miniscule changes over and over again, hopping on and off TRT... basically driving themselves crazy over their perceived lack of libido. Sex begins in the brain, not in your pants. My biggest problem was stress, and, yes, I stressed over my erections for about a year. The less you care, the better they will be. If your partner cares more about your ability to maintain an erection, let him or her go. Someone like that isn't worth holding on to. In this modern age, we have everything from medications to implants to make erections possible, so don't sweat it. I'm mostly saying this for anyone who happens to read this thread and is suffering. I'm at a place right now where I'm dialed in and my libido is so high it's annoying. Of course, I know there is going to be a time when it isn't, so I'll just enjoy the ride while it lasts.

In the Philippines, men will openly joke about their inability to get an erection. Sex doesn't dominate their lives. Their culture is radically different. The point is that their lives have value regardless.

Some men can't get erections because of prostate cancer, and some can't get erections because of testicular cancer. Some have been castrated because of cancer. Their lives still have value. They still find a reason to live, and they don't obsess over it.

For me, it's all about putting myself in the right frame of mind, and counting my blessings instead of focusing on the negatives, which really aren't all that bad. For me, taking testosterone is more about long term health and longevity than my libido. That's where I think we all should be.

Apologies for the rant, but these thoughts have been floating around my head for years. Whenever I read a post and see someone obsessing about erection quality, this is what comes to my mind. My own issues and how I came to terms with it.

I'm on testosterone propionate (roughly 100mg week), hcg (150 iu daily), and nandrolone daily (roughly 70mg week). Sorry, but I'm too lazy to do actual math. LOL I'll be switching to cypionate, not because I am having issues, but because it is more readily available in the Philippines. In 2023, my wife and I are moving back home to the Phils, so I want a chance to get good and dialed in on cypionate before we go.
