I recommended my doc to my buddy who has low T. He has been on for over 9 months using injections. His total T is now 810 and his estradiol is 28 and free T is a healthy level as well.
He keeps telling me some days he feels great and other days not so great. I reply, “ ok, so does the rest of the world “.
Anyway, he tells our doc this for the past 6 months and at his appointment last week brings it up again and the doc says “ stop over analyzing the way you feel minute to minute and enjoy yourself and move on with your life”.
Bear in mind his blood results are good. My doc tells all his patients TRT is NOT a panacea for everything, only low T.

Your friends injection frequency may need to increase, I felt inconsistent injecting twice weekly even with perfect labs. There were times I felt good and times I felt off, now I feel the same all the time on an EOD protocol.

Getting a good night's sleep constantly is important.

Our doc is good and very matter of fact. He says T will alleviate all symtoms of low T but NOT anything else. Thought that was rather interesting.
He said his most successful patients are the one’s that complain of low libido and low energy. He said T almost always fixes that.

There's the rub with TRT. It seems many people can't feel great and have "good "numbers too.

Oh yeah, I spent three years with great numbers, and no libido. Getting good numbers means you have good numbers and little more than that. Wasn't until I ditched the HCG and added Tadalafil that I finally started feeling more like I ought to.

What does Tadalafil do in the body that T alone can't do? Is it possible to overcome the issue with more and more T?

Thanks. Most people seem to respond well to it. A few said it makes them more tired> Not sure why. That said, would higher (arguably unhealthier ) levels of T do the same thing for libido plus give you the additional benefits of more T?

I've been up as high as 1350 with the right free T (can't remember), and no joy.

TRT gave me back my life five years ago. But the only sweeping generalization that I believe to be consistently true is: “Every single one of us is different.”

Your doctor is correct when he argues/states that testosterone replacement isn’t a panacea. But a good number of patients simply don’t respond - despite their lab values; it’s as if they are injecting club soda and not testosterone. It would be nice if testosterone alleviated all subjective symptoms of hypogonadism. It did for me. But that’s certainly not an across the board result.

Sadly.

Well said. Exactly. AI (low e2), no AI (high e2), HCG, no HCG, numbers above range, numbers well within range, high DHEA, low DHEA, no one could find anything wrong with the rest of my numbers, and still zero libido without the Tadalafil. I imagine there are factors no one has even identified yet that impact this. You can't just read lab results and know what's going to happen. I told my doc what I'd discovered, she said, "Great, I'll write you a prescription for Cialis." I give her credit there. Personally I wonder if maybe it shouldn't be a plan B when this happens to some guy. Try if and see if it helps.

Coast you are the man. I love seeing post like that. Usually when trt works for a guy they almost become combative to anyone that says otherwise.

I’m unfortunately one of those guys who gets no symptom relief despite great numbers on trt. And it also gives me mental sides even if e2 is great. Yet the biggest thing that has helped me in my 10 year long health journey is low dose ssri. And we know how those are received on these type of forums. But it just truly shows you everyone is different.
