Was reading up on L Citrulline and i had my H on it months ago and stopped for some reason (maybe didn't see enough benefits, he's older and has ED and is on TRT with good results except for ED) but was Googling and saw studies IRT L Citrulline and non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver Inflammatory markers response to citrulline supplementation in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled, clinical trial (many other references) and since H has this (probably from Hep C which he has been treated for) i'm going to put him back on it, hopefully it will benefit his ED this time (i also have him on GSE) and daily Cialis (5mg) mainly for BPH as it pretty much doesn't help the ED. I did give him at least 6 g's if i remember correctly.

Just posting in case this helps anyone.

"daily Cialis (5mg) mainly for BPH as it pretty much doesn't help the ED"

You should look into intracavernosal injections.....Trimix.

I've heard of this and need to do more research on the forum like...how much it would be and the learning curve and if his Dr would RX it (i'm assuming it's prescription). It sounds like from what i've read that the erections can be as hard as it can get, i know he really isn't that satisfied with Cialis or Viagra (enough for penetration but he would like it harder) and the S/E's of esp Viagra (nasal congestion) he just about cannot stand...

I would also do an internet search for the "ultimate adrenergic control of erections" thread. It's a long read but will give you a lot of the science underlying trimix as well as some less invasive options. Low dose (200-400 mcg) of PT-141 could be worth a try as well since it acts on yet another different pathway.

I don't know that making a huge leap from 5mg not helping with ED to right in t TrimiX when there's plenty more dosing options available from 5 to as much as 25mg of Cialis available. I'd consider those options well before I go the injections route.

I agree with Vince increase the dose of Cialis before going to trimix. Plenty of people need more than 5mg daily. Citrulline is a good supplement but won't do much for ED once you get to a certain stage.

VC and JPB give the more sensible approach but seeing as you stated in a previous thread:

He's a young 70, health issues include non alcoholic liver cirrhosis (mild, had Hep C) on low amount of opioids for pain management, on NDT for thyroid. Has been on TRT since October 2017 when he tested out around 300 and below normal Free T. Went on standard 100 mg and shot twice weekly. Went to 3x weekly and BW showed minor improvement (500's and still below normal FT) got SHGB tested and it was high normal so on advise from the gentlemen in this group, went back to twice weekly shots which would hopefully bring up FT which indeed it did but low normal.
Doc rx'd 150 mg/wk and on more advice from this group, decided to go slow at 140 mg/wk and he felt better, had better libido, energy. Still has ED and has to use Viagra or Cialis.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a good chance at his age he may have poor vascular/endothelial health and although he has tried cialis (you only mention daily 5 mg) and Viagra (no dose stated).

Intracavernosal injections would be worth looking into if higher doses of the oral pde-5 inhibitors are not effective or cause too many sides as you stated above....."It sounds like from what i've read that the erections can be as hard as it can get, i know he really isn't that satisfied with Cialis or Viagra (enough for penetration but he would like it harder) and the S/E's of esp Viagra (nasal congestion) he just about cannot stand...

Abraham Morgantaler’s office recommends up to 40 mg do Cialis per event if you are healthy. Check on your husband’s heart health. Trimix is a down the road option that I wouldn’t go to until other measuhave been exhausted. Side effects can be mitigated if you gradually build the dose. I get great results for Gene’s stack and cialis 20 with Viagra 12 to 25 thrown in. No side effects and no problems.
