Hello everyone,

I ve been on trt for a year still struggling with libido and Ed. The only thing that actually works consistently is cialis but it drops my blood pressure too low. I took 10mg a week ago and after about an hour I got dizzy and light headed, not to the point of passing out but it was annoying, so I checked my blood pressure and it was 105/55.

I stopped it and the effects wore off (the good and the bad). Yesterday i decided to take a smaller dose 5mg and again after an hour I felt kind of dizzy. Before I took it I measured my blood pressure and it was 124/73 and after an hour on cialis it was 110/51. Since yesterday I still get kind of dizzy.

I am an athlete and I workout 6 times a week, my resting heart rate is in the 60s so my heart is pretty strong. Do you think that this drop especially in the diastolic pressure is dangerous for the heart?

I mean today after my workout I measured it again and one of the reading was 103/47 which is extreme (its normal to drop after a workout a little and it increased to 107/53 on the second reading). I am going to lower the dose to 2.5mg but I want to take it daily so when it builds up in the system I think it will have the same effect.

Thanks in advance

I've had blood pressure, even lower, but I've never felt dizziness or anything. Other times it's higher like yours has been. And I still feel the same. But if you get dizzy taking Viagra Cialis I definitely would have take it.

The strange part is you need it to get hard but it lowers your blood pressure too much. I would think if you're not on any blood pressure meds you would be easy for you not to need it to get hard.

Yes it is kind of strange but it's the only thing that works. I don't know if the dizziness is caused by the lower blood pressure. I am just trying to connect the dots. The weird part is that my natural blood pressure isn't that low (120/70) but even 5mg of cialis drops my diastolic by 15-20 points

As i am trying to figure out if the dizziness is caused by the drop in blood pressure i measured it 3 times today while i had the dizziness and it came back normal 110/62 , 112/65 , 118/72. Could the dizziness from cialis be caused by something else besides the low blood pressure, and do you think that it will subside if i continue taking it?

It probably is the Cialis. The increase in nitric oxide does cause some men to feel dizzy. It's too bad, because it works so great.

Just my 2 cents what's worked for me...

ED: Kegel exercises have helped me a lot with this, I do them hard 2-3x per day, treat it almost like going to the gym doing reps. I find the muscle buildup not only improves the strength of my erections, but the additional blood flow to the area also helps with libido. I can give you pointers on how to do them if helpful

Libido: I've recently found taking Liposomal Vitamin C helps loads with my libido. Do some googling on Vitamin C and libido - if you don't know, the liposomal delivery method increases absorption by a huge amount compared to just taking it normally. I can recommend a supplement brand if you're interested - though I'm sure most lipoVitC you get on Amz will be similar.

Watch out, too low diastolic pressure itself can also cause ED.

Abstract

Background

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the most common male sexual disorder that affects all age groups and has a close association with essential hypertension.

Aim

To characterize the relation of blood pressure and ED in detail.

Methods

A cross-sectional population-based study of 45- to 70-year-old men without previously diagnosed hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, renal disease, or diabetes was conducted from 2005 to 2007 in southwestern Finland. A total of 665 men with at least one cardiovascular risk factor were studied. ED was defined by the five-item International Index of Erectile Function.

Outcomes

We found a U-shaped association between diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and prevalence of ED.

Results

The average age of the study subjects was 56 ± 6 years and 52% had ED. After adjustment for age, cohabitation status, education, fasting plasma glucose level, waist circumference, and prevalence of depressive symptoms, the curve relating DBP to the prevalence of ED was U-shaped with a nadir of DBP 90 mm Hg.

Clinical Implications

Our findings emphasize the importance of blood pressure measurement in the physical examination of men with ED.

Strengths and Limitations

This was a cross-sectional study, which prevents the evaluation of causality between ED and hypertension. However, this community-based study population is well defined and the anthropologic measurements were made by trained medical staff.

Conclusion

We found a U-shaped correlation between ED and DBP, which confirms the link between ED and hypertension.
