BPH - Enlarged Prostate After being on TRT

I think it’s human nature to associate things together. Sort of like a superstition. Your favorite football team didn’t lose the big game because you forget to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast. So every symptom we have is not because of our hormones. If they were, they would all clear up after we got them in the optimal zone. Look at the amount of guys with libido issues. How many threads start with my labs look good but I have no libido.

I’ve been following this thread for a while, it’s been interesting. I have been suffering BPH symptoms for a few years now - frequent need to pee, difficulty holding on, difficulty actually finishing properly - lots of standing around watching the drips! I discussed it with my doctor a few years ago and he just told me to stop drinking so much coffee in the morning which to me wasn’t a real solution, I like coffee too much!

My PSA has always been fine (touch wood) but things seem to have got a bit worse in the past 12 months, it happens far more often and it’s really started to affect my sleep a lot more where I’m now usually waking up to pee at least 3-4 times a night on average. Which sucks, it is killing my energy levels and just generally affecting my life. I’ve been on TRT for 4 months now, and after an initial improvement in energy I think things have plateaued again and a lot of it is due to poor sleep.

Thanks to this thread I ordered a bunch of Ceebis from ADC a few weeks ago and started on 5mg/day today. Really excited to see whether it helps with the symptoms at all!

So what is your PSA level?

Mine was 2.1-2.8 range for 20 years, which included 5 years on TRT - Nebido, quit at age 62 and took clomid for 3 months, still my PSA was 2.4.

I quit TRT at age 62 and started again at age 65, but a different protocol. Nebido+HCG+DHEA+preg, a couple of times testos cream on scrotum and NDT (thyroid med) and my PSA went from 2.8>4.2. For sure pushing the hormone boundaries but nothing that should have had an adverse effect. Just the facts, I don't know, maybe Nebido alone would have done the same thing. But I am suspecting the other hormones had a role. I took a look at my DHT level and it was 74 (30-85 range).

So now I quit HCG, DHEA, Preg and NDT and on just Nebido and threw the kitchen sink at the PSA level.

My that I mean, LifeExtension Ultra Prostate formula, lycopene, baby aspirin and golden paste (turmeric) in an effort to lower the PSA level. And Metformin, which also lowes PSA levels, though I take that for enhanced glucose control.

I don't have symptoms of BPH, if I did I would also get cialis tadalafilo.

I will see in another month how that all works out.

I’m 47yrs old and have been on TRT since 2013 with no prostate issues at all. Every time I have my labs drawn my PSA is always within normal range even more so on the low side. I’m thinking that this could be due to the nettle root, saw palmetto, Pygeum Africanum and zinc concoction that I take regularly everyday or it could just be my diet.
