Hi All,

Hope you are all well, just found this forum and delighted to be a part of it. So I started last June with 25mg every 2 days. From 22nd December my dosage was reduced to 25mg 2 times a week (as my DHT was high causing hair loss). This is prescribed and monitored by a specialist in UK.

Looks like my Oestrogen has rocketed, maybe I need to do DIM daily instead of twice a week, I quit Arimidex a few months ago but I need it again for sure, what kind of dose shall I go on? I was prescribed it before but came off it as it was hurting my bones, im sure my specialist will say to use it again. My Testosterone has dropped on this lower dosage, I probably need to increase it?
What is your analysis/feedback of the below? (Mid October I took a few weeks break from Clomid). Last few months I have had really low moods and sadness - this is probably from my Oestrogen rocketing as well I guess. @Nelson Vergel

You could try 12.5 mg of clomiphene daily. Any reason why you want to lower your estradiol, besides high levels?

Thank you Vince, appreciate it.
Of course it may be psychological but I do feel I get a lot of sides when my estradiol is too high, then I always seem to feel a bit better when it is in a more normal range.

I would give enclomiphene a try. It may help better keep your E2 in check. I use 12.5 mg daily and have had good results.

Hello. How's your libido with clomiphene? Did you have any side effects? Thanks

Yes clomid is knows for this as I understood it can increase T but It block estrogen receptors in the brain “or something like this not sure”
It's a plausible hypothesis: Enclomiphene blocks certain estrogen receptors. Estrogen contributes to libido. Therefore enclomiphene could harm libido. However, even if there's something to this it's still not a black and white issue. Some guys do well long-term on modest doses of Clomid. I've been on enclomiphene with TRT for over a year and libido is better than during most of the previous years on TRT.

It's also possible to create other hypotheses that would need to be tested. For example: Zuclomiphene is estrogenic. Estrogens tend to raise prolactin. Elevated prolactin can harm libido independently of testosterone levels. Therefore Clomid could harm libido. Yet another hypothesis would say that excessive estrogenic effects alone are a problem; zuclomiphene combines with higher naturally produced estradiol yielding a double-whammy. This proposition is more tenuous given the known positive association between estradiol and libido. Yet there may be limits above which estradiol reduces libido, or alternatively, the ratio of estradiol to testosterone may be the parameter that grows too large with Clomid use.

Here I only have the option of clomid, tamoxifen and raloxifene. Does tamoxifen also decrease libido? Any experience with 12.5 mg of clomid ED?

Ain't that weird - i've been on regular clomid, 12.5mg three times a week, and my libido / sexual function is great. It's all the other potential positives i don't get. So i'm fatigued, achy joints, low general mood etc, etc, but sexually just fine.

I tried clomid once but soon stopped because the libido decreased and I had constipation .. I don't know if high estradiol causes this or low estradiol or clomid mecha in several estrogen receptors.

Is constipation a well-known side effect because I haven’t seen it mentioned much, but I’m on 25mg ED and have definitely noticed it as well. Libido is way down also.

I never get that, in fact if anything i get the opposite and have to take loperamide quite often (i think i may have ibs though, self diagnosed).
